Desktop in Alt-Tab Switch

Description:

Recently I saw the Alt-Tab possibility in Windows (Vista+7) and I like the idea, that the desktop is between the possibilities to choose when switching windows. Is it somehow possible to set this, or is it already somewhere mentioned to be adopted? Where can I demand, that this could be added as a feature of Kwin? Hope someone can adopt it, or help me to promote it. Thx

I already implemented this feature in 4.5 :-D It's optional, so you have to enable it, but it works quite nice.

Great! So I guess, I just looked not sufficiently for this idea. But anyway, I'm looking forward to it! Hope this adaptation is not just for the plasma-netbook edition. Thx for the discovery

Place the "Show Workpace" Plasmoid to a panel and set a shortcut for it.
Then you have almost bthe same.

I already have a keyboard shortcut for showing the desktop (Meta+M), but this is a feature in the Alt-Tab selection.
If I understood you properly, an icon in the panel, is an extra movement with the mouse and not with hands on the keyboard.
I know it is just a small idea, but an improvement nevertheless and I know there are plenty possibilities in KDE to show the desktop ;)

Have a look at the plasma netbook interface. The desktop of the launch and search activity does display during alt-tab.

I'm not sure if it's available or if it's even been proposed, but you should probably search for it and if it's not there then make a suggestion for it over at the Brainstorm forums at kde.org.
The purpose of it is for users and developers to suggest features and people can vote for them so developers can see the community's response to them and decide if they'd like to implement it.
Let me know if you do add it cause I'll definitely give it a vote.
