Nice application for editing digital camera photos to reduce resolution and size, quality etc. Can produce progressive images.

Why has the red eye tool been removed?

I can't compile:
undefined reference to `QString::QString(char const*)'

There are a lot of other undefined references there, unfortunately. The system is Fedora Core. Has anyone seen similar problems? Or is anyone able to prepare a fedora core 5 package?

Hi tried to solve this problem, but even after adding
-L/usr/lib -lkritacommon -lqt-mt -lkdecore -lkdeui
to the kritaextensioncolorsfilters_la_LIBADD
path in the Makefile.am of the filters it still fails - the error this time is:
undefined reference to `typeinfo for KisFilterRegistry'

Where do I get this missing one - and why do I have to change this all in the makefiles? :/

If anyone has the same problem, here the solution:
add -lkstore -lkritacommon -lkparts -lkritaimage -lqt-mt -lkdecore -lkdeui -lkritaui -lkritacolor -lkofficecore
in each Makefile.am in the kritaredeyeremovaltool_la_LIBADD line.

It now compiles, but unfortunately does not run as it should be...

Removing red eyes crashes krita here, too.
Console output:

hum nothing wrong in that output, I will definitively need a backtrace, even if I suspect a memory problem, this tool is very memory hungry and nothing I can do about this before 1.6 :(

Same for me, I'm using koffice 1.5.1 and KDE 3.5.3 (both Debian packages from unstable).

I haven't got debugging symbols compiled in, so the output kcrash gives me isn't really usable...

Unsharp mask:
* Previes should start at 100%, otherwise it's impossible to evaluate the result.Zooming in takes very much time (5Megapixel) and it is very difficult to get to exactly 100%
* Switching (at 100%) between Preview and Original moves the visible section of the image.
* "Preview" has different scaling factor compared to "Original"
* Preview (at ~100%) takes way to much time. It seems the whole image is sharpened instead of only the part visible in the preview window.
* Instead of radio buttons for "Original" and "Preview" use a Checkbox "Preview" (see Gimp). Usability of a checkbox is much better.
* Amount of 1.00 or lower does not have any effect. Default amount of 2.0 is too much.
* Progress bar does not work.
* "Threshold" gives artifacts (black pixels)
* Speed is very slow (try a 5MPixel image, half width: 20pix, amount: 1.5)
* Unsharp mask algorithm is incorrect (see bugs.kde.org in a few minutes)

But keep on the good work!

I'm running Koffice 1.5.1. I installed the plugins and opened a picture. As soon as I clicked on the icon for redeye removal, Krita crashed. Repeated efforts yielded the same results. So, this part doesn't seem usable at all. Koffice and plugins were both installed from source on Slackware current.

do you have a backtrace with symbols ? And the console output ?

That link is wrong - it says www.koffice/krita. Should read www.koffice.org/krita
