I have been struggling with this for at least a year now and am currently using kubuntu 8.10 Intrepid. It is exactly the same as any other version of digikam or kubuntu.

What gives?? I am not a complete newb when it comes to building from source...Though not a pro either....

it might be nice to have a link to the digikam website on the toolbar (image with a penguin). However, what about placing toolbars verticlally?
It is now very wide! Is there a way to rotate or turn of this link? Thanks for the release.

It Woiuld be so great to have Hugin and Enbled features added to digikam.

Enblend:
Enblend is a tool for compositing images. Given a set of images that overlap in some irregular way, Enblend overlays them in such a way that the seam between the images is invisible, or at least very difficult to see. Enblend does not line up the images for you. Use a tool like Hugin to do that.

PS: digikam is the best photo manbagement programe I've ever seen.

Any advice? I have no way to get get pictures out of my camera and edit/manipulate them until I get this issue resolved.

Great! Thanks for fixing the issue with the viewer. Although it still shows incorrectly percentages of the zoom.

I found that the mouse wheel does not switch images anymore. Please fix it.

I just want to add that this new version of digikam is a real leap forward. Great work guys!

This change is relevant of the canvas used to pan/zoom preview. It's a QScrollView derived class witch use mouse wheel to move content. This is why SHIFT key is used to change current picture with mouse wheel.

I have been having this problem for a few months now, and it persists even after I upgraded from kubuntu edgy to feisty.

I can compile and run Digikam but when I click on an album there are no thumbnails. If I click on the Tags panel I get the generic hot air baloon icon and if I click on one of those Digikam crashes. Here is the console output of this series of events:

Are you running digikam under KDE or GNOME?

Which version of exiv2 do you have installed? Please provide output of:

The new viewer apparently has improved. It preserves shrapness of image when fit to screen is set. It which was the problem with 0.9.1 where the look was a bit and annoyingly blurry. But... unfortunately there is a wierd artifact with the new viewer engine. An image appears to be sharp but has some gridded pattern very visible on dark gradient sky images. Please try to fix this.

Interestingly the editor does not exhibit this artifact.

zoom 1:1 does not work

All these points have been already fixed on current implementation and will be available for 0.9.2-beta2 release...

digiKam does not compile because of jasper is not installed. But jasper is installed (1.900) in /usr/lib and /usr/include/jasper. Any ideas why it does not find that library?

I'm a big fan of this software. I was wondering if there was any way it could tie in with something like Krita for more advanced photo edits? The two tools working together would be a knockout combination.
