Quite useful actually :)
Just two notes:
1) failed to extract archive, had to copy all files manually and paste in new folder.
2) Too long action name in contextmenu - maybe it icould be better to remove the name from each line? or maybe somehow shorten the action name?

That's great.
It is just simple enought and allow to do simple manipulation without starting the Gimp.

One suggestion:
Can the install script check for imageMagick installed and, if not ask the beginner(as me) to install this package?

thanks

1) when installed, everytime I rightclick an image it tells me about "RotCustomFlip" as non valid menu action. Deleting the "RotCustomFlip" occurence in the service file, it works
2) when custom resizing an image, if I click "Cancel" I get an error dialog about a missing file, while effective resizing works quite well.

(this is not a bug)
3) how can I send you italian translation? simply diff the files? (i'm going to add labels for "it" in the service files)

Thanks!

The problem is in this line in ksimgsm_convertandrotate.desktop Actions=JPEG;PNG;GIF;TIF;ConvCustom;Rot90;Rot180;Rot270;RotCustomFlip;Flop
This line should be:
Actions=JPEG;PNG;GIF;TIF;ConvCustom;Rot90;Rot180;Rot270;RotCustom;Flip;Flop

Hello,

The resize image tool is too constrainant !
Should be good is, in more of the predefined resolutions, to add "Other resolution..." entry that show a dialog tht ask for arbitrar resolutions...

Would be very good to not have to open Gimp for my webpage (I don't use this for wallpapers).

I think he is right. How about adding Resize For Wallpaper, you could use -resize 'kdialog --geometry "100x400" --title "KImgSM" --combobox "Choose a resolution." 640x480 800x600 1024x768 1280x102' instead of -resize foo x bar. And to top it off why not have have an action that resizes and uses dcop to set it as your current wallpaper. If you want to manually enter a resolution, have a look at kdialog --inputbox.

Small typo in the english screenshots?
(Remplace!) --> (Replace)

You might also want to have the first screenshot in english too instead of french... =)

Good job!

This utility is GREAT!
But I've got a little work in the install: In my system (SuSE 9.0) the install script had problems with
kdeinstdir=`kde-config --prefix`
but worked with
kdeinstdir='/opt/kde3'

you should strive to get this included in KDE 3.2.x or 3.3???

Very true.

This is something that every platform should have out of the box.

Great little helper!

Concerning the preserving of the original image: isn't it possible to ask the user if he want's to keep the original or replace it? Maybe make a option menu.. The graphics stuff should be packaged together in a seperate menugroup under actions i think. But that is just my opinion.

Other wise great job!

Greetings,

Martin

agree with you: a kdialog should do it easily.
The only thing missing is the ability to attach images to a new email and resize them before (kdialog shoud be helpful too).

Anyway, it is by far the best image service menu I've seen.

In the install script, can you please change "/usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/" to "$KDEDIR/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/" ?
Some of us don't have KDE installed under /usr :)

thanks!
