Actos SoundMenu
KDE4 Extensions
Description:

Very simple Sound Menu plasmoid with volume and playback (MPRIS) controls for the current media player.

Meant to be used as a lightweight replacement for the default KMix systray plasmoid.

After installation, you can enable it in the System Tray settings, under *Extra Items*.

Would love any help:

Are you actually working on the port? I really like this plasmoid, but I use Plasma 5 on Arch Linux and I'd love to have this on my desktop.

I haven't tested on Plasma 5 yet, so I don't know if any APIs have changed and broke the plasmoid.

I'm not working on porting it to Plasma 5 right now. I'll probably be able to take a look in a month or so.

If anyone can help with the port, I'd appreciate any pull-requests:

Works fine with Kde 4.12.

This is a slick looking volume mixer, and I think it has a lot of potential.

One issue that I've encountered while using it, is that pressing the "Sound settings" button doesn't seem to do anything. I'm using Kubuntu 13.10, if it makes any difference. Is it a bug, or is it a feature that hasn't been implemented yet?

Also, if possible, it might be a good idea to have volume sliders for applications that are playing audio, like in Kmix.

Other than that, great job!

Thank you, that's work perfectly.

Really nice. It could replace the current one by default.
