Really nice piece of work!!
My favorite GTK theme on Ubuntu 14.04

The only minor modification that I would like to do is to change the menus' color from white to light gray. Any suggestion on how to do this? I am studying the .css files but no success for now.

Thanks for your great work!

Hi, any idea how I can switch from the light to the dark theme? For some reason, whenever I enable the Faience theme I only get the lighter theme. Thanks!

It seems like GTK2 apps like Firefox, GIMP and KeepassX don't use the GTK theme for some reason, they use GNOME's default theme (or just its buttons, I'm not sure) with Faience's borders and titlebar. I also have the problem that sadi reported above. GTK2 in general seems to be broken for me.

Here's a picture showing what I'm talking about: http://i.imgur.com/XtlkhQy.png

Do you have equinox (and other) gtk2 engines installed?

I'll do it here: in Ubuntu 14.04 the text and album art area in the sound indicator dropdown are weirdly styled and then when selected, the text is unreadable.

Enjoying this favorite theme of mine after a long break, I think I've found a minor GTK2 bug, under Ubuntu 14.04. Although Faience is still the closest to 100% perfection among all themes, including Ambiance, the window of a GTK2 application (KKEdit in my case, but excluding Chrome web browser) that goes to background fails to fully switch to a much lighter grey like other app windows, but the toolbar bgcolor remains the same unlike the titlebar.

THX for updating this, great theme. Especially GTK part.
Anyway, I have an issue. On-Off switches are blurred.

Thank you so much for updating this great theme, which is definitely THE BEST IN ITS CLASS :-)

I've taken the liberty of creating a matching Theme (formerly called Persona) for Firefox and LibreOffice to use the same background in the toolbar of those applications.

For further info see the Knowledge Base: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?action=knowledgebase&content=154949&kbid=2076

Hello, i have a little bug when i switch dow or up th volume or the screen brightness. I cant see the real level of the volume/brightness because its the same color as the background color.
By the way if you could theese indicators into darker colors that would be great. Thanks!

this is a great theme... thanks you for your time and efforts to create it.

it seems that I cant get the titlebar to work properly. Even after changing the theme to the right one, I still see the old one (see pic in link below). Do you know how i can fix it?

Metacity theme path was changed to .local/...
As a workaround put custom themes into /usr/share/themes/

Could you elaborate on this? I don't have root access, so I can't put my theme files there. Can I put these files in a folder in ~/.local? Why do you mention metacity? I thought it was not used anymore by gnome 3.

Hi, I like your theme very much, especially the rounded highlight when item on the top panel is selected. May I know which line of code is responsible for it? Thanks.

Really thanks for your reply, but I am using Unity. May I know the lines in Unity as well? I saw you using some image files to draw the border, but I couldn't find the corresponding image in gtk-3.0 folder. Are you using image file also in Unity?

Thank you for a great theme accompanying a great icon theme.

One request (which I hope isn't a duplicate of some sort): could you perhaps provide compatibility for Nemo, Cinnamon's file manager? Being a continuation of Nautilus 3.4, it still has a toolbar which Faience now displays white(-ish). I know from other themes it's possible to support both properly and I see proper Faience toolbars in gedit for example, but in my limited knowledge I've not been able to fix it myself.

Thanks for the consideration.

Is there a way to have a dark top panel in unity? I know the screenshot above is gnome3, which looks great, I'm trying to duplicate that in unity.
Am I just missing something?
