Here is a wallpaper I made using povray. It uses a macro I wrote to pack spherical objects into a specified region in a random way but without any overlapping of objects (by randomly placing objects within the sphere and then pruning out the ones that collide). The result takes about as long to parse as it does to render but I think it is kind of neat. I used a mix of two different objects, a KDE logo with Konqi the dragon, and tux the linux penguin. The floor is made using a bozo pattern with reflection combined with a granite surface normal.
