Hi! I've extracted your gtk2 theme to /usr/share/themes and there are three folders for the main theme and two for metacity..

The problem is that I can't select them in gnome-tweak-tool because nothing appears!

I love so much your Gnome shell theme, I'd really like to have the gtk too.

Ubuntu 10.11

Please, help me!

It won't show up in GNOME-Tweak-Tool because there is no GTK3 theme. For things to show up in the Tweak-Tool, they need both GTK3 and GTK2. I plan on making a GTK3 version of London Smoke, but I haven't yet. To use it in the meantime for GTK2 applications, you can just pair it up with a GTK3 theme.

Ok, thanks for the answer!

I'd really appreciate that you make a gtk3 London Smoke theme (and I'm sure I'm not the only one), if you have time.
Your work is so beautiful ;)

What gtk3 theme you would recommend me to suit with your Gnome Shell theme, any idea? I'm now using Atolm-gtk3...

Atolm is probably the closest you're going to get, as they were based on the same mockup.

Yeah! But is full of bugs! And i don't want to edit the css file without knowing what I do, even if already edited some css files...

Maybe you should put a link to the Atolm theme(temporary) on the page of your Gnome Shell theme...

Well, hopefully I'll get to the GTK3 theme sometime soon, but I'll leave the link off the GNOME-Shell page, since a lot of people like the theme, you don't need Atolm.

that's odd, when you tell it to use another image, the panel buttons go transparent and show the theme's panel background, instead of just going along with what you choose.
So what would you like me to do?
I'm not changing the theme, but I guess I could try to make one for you that works. If I figure out how.

No, don't worry! (I don't want to give you work lool) I am a newbie in gtk themes, and I don't know how to do to keep transparent background when you select a picture as panel background. I asked the question, but if you don't know, it doesn't matter! If I find the parameter to change or the answer (maybe depending of the engine: murine, etc...) I tell you :]

Thank for all and don't worry for me :p

I nearly finish my dark reign theme, here is a screenshot =]

I need to finish the metacity theme and it is ok :p

Good job, it is hard to find good dark themes because of contrast and bugs.

PS: I saw you visited my profile, and I am new here. In fact, I created an account a while ago, but I just began to contribute, so if I do something wrong, tell me please =)

Thanks for the theme!

Thanks a lot!
I tried to get the theme working as well as I could with the colours, it seems that it just doesn't look right with Firefox and Thunderbird.

@the last part: No problem, man :)

One thing can be improve (in my opinion! I'am a webmaster lol, not a gnome designer!): it more easy to customize a theme with transparent buttons in the gnome panel, I think. Like in elegant gnome for example. But I don't know if it is easy, depending of the engine, etc, I never tried to create gtk themes!

It would be easy to make the panel buttons transparent, just redirect the file paths to a transparent image.
But wouldn't you want any panel buttons? I sure would.

I speak of the background of the panel buttons: in a lot of dark themes, there is a background color (grey for example) witch hide the panel picture. I will show you with a screenshot lol, not sure of my English :p

Oh, so have the background of the panel partially transparent?
I don't really think it matches the rest of the theme...
