Description:

this is a replacement for the run_applet in the kde kicker. The run_applet is a small input window to quickstart applications without having to open a console.
it behaves exactly like the run_applet, but i added a translation feature (see screenshot).
if you type
'te:searchexpression' it looks this up at leo.org and displays the results.

te: means englisch to/from german
tf: means french to/from german

whatever you type, leo detects if its german or english or french.

the mdk package are compiled binaries for mdk cooker and kde 3.3.

if you do not have mdk, you just have to copy 3 files to the correct locations.
rpm files and source will follow!
after installing the applet is directly available. close your "Application Launcher"-Applet and choose "add->ubersetzer". the result window can also be closed if you click into it.

TODO :
- yet this is basicaly a bad hack.
next versions will be clearly modularized and will carry more features (config dialog/wikipedia etc...)

For the translation feature, do you know kdict ?
There is an applet for translate text typed in or paste in the clipboard (with mouse)
http://docs.kde.org/fr/HEAD/kdenetwork/kdict/applet.png

Your applet do the make both translation and run, that's great. But you can use kdict (or directly a dictd server) for translation ...

yes i knew that. but it's the same with the "run_applet" : why use the run applet while there is konsole? Same here, just with translation.

Sure, sure. Nothing against your program! But as an alternativ to your program kdict was mentioned. So I thought I should put my oar in ;-)

You could change "t" to "te" and "tf" or sth. like that since Leo also has a frenshgerman dictionary.

but.
I doesn't use run_applet because:
1. Doen't support transperant. Would be nice if it could =D
2. Sometimes I just want to remove the [^] button.
