I think this doesn't work in kde4 or is this the case? It would be a shame if not!!!!

why isn't this the kde default?
it's really great, thank you very much.

PS: works on kde 3.5

I agree this should be "officially" implemented into KDE. Maybe voting for Bug 112236 at bugs.kde.org helps: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112236

I can't get it to work in my kde 3.3.2, sigh :( Konqueror recognizes that a supplementary toolbar exists (in the configure > toobars > a new toolbar has appeared), but that toolbar won't be available to appear while browsing files. Too bad :(

I upgraded KDE to 3.4.
Applied the patch.
And... it worked !

And it's one of the best functions in Konqueror, shame it's not present by default !

Thanks a bunch for writing that KDE improvement :o)

its working fine with me
make sure you unpacked the files in right places
after i copied them i noticed "run shell command" or something in tools menu runned it and its workin fine now

thanks for the developer for that great tool althought i have another small idea is a drop down meny filtering by types not just extensions ie "show photos only" "audios" etc and can be managed.. addind extension to a type or creating new type etc...

Thanks, this is something I wanted for ages, it should be there by default. Maybe for 3.5.

Why is it "hidden" by default? It sounds
like a great feature (I havn't tried it yet)

Thanks.

Afaik it was a wishlist request(http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93236) implemented by Martin Koller few days before the RC2 come out, too late for a mayor ui change.

Is it possible to enable "quickfilter" in "file open/save" dialogs?

I copied (only iconview) rc file into $kdedir (and ~/.kde/ for same token) but the entry doesn't show up in either the Tools menu, or anywhere in "Configure Toolbars".

How do I add it to the tool bar?

Slackware 10.1
KDE 3.4
QT 3.3.3

My guess you need to correct the dependencies. Shouldn't it require QT 3.3.4 instead?

aehm, i forgotten to mention it depends from kdeaddons :-)

I figured out for my Kubuntu desktop that I needed konq-plugins before it would show up. After I downloaded that it showed up without any issues.

I can only assume there's a similar package you have to download for Slackware.
