NEW !!!

Vortiz - Themes for AWN and Kooldock

Blacklight for AVANT-Window-Navigator and Kooldock

Misticyan (Minimalistic Cyan) for Avant-Window-Navigator
(Set "Icon Effects" to "3D Turn" for best result !! )

Kore for Avant-Window-Navigator

For Users having problems with Compiz-Fusion and Kooldock, I've added the Kore-Theme for AWN

Hint for Kooldock:

There are two ways to replace the Kmenu-Icon with an reflective Icon!
Ugly Way:
Replace the Kmenu.png in the KDE Icon-folder with Your choice.
Don't forget to save the original icon!

Better Way:
Disable "Show K Menu" in the Kooldock_0.4.7-configuration.
Add a new application and call her Kmenu. Choose an icon.
As command give in:

dcop kicker kicker popupKMenu 100,200

In advanced options disable "Enable launch feedback"
(100,200 are the coordinates to appear on the screen, you can change them.)
Move the icon to the left position. Done!

My Kooldock-Settings:

-General
Autohide On
Enable Taskbar Off
Show K Menu Off
Use KBFX Off
Don't scroll .. On
Navigation Menu On

- Icon Text
Show text .. Off

- Icon Sizes
Small 48
Big 56

- Background
Don't allow wider bg On
Corner scale free On

PROBLEMS with COMPIZ / BERYL ???

I got problems with Compiz. So I deactivated the xosd* - section
in "/home/~/.kde/share/config/kooldockrc

......
showNames=0
speedControl=0
#xosdBold=1
#xosdColor=#f1f1f1
#xosdFont=Albany AMT
#xosdItalic=1
#xosdShadowColor=#000000
#xosdShadowOffset=2
#xosdSize=17
zoomSpeed=20

and "Kooldock" is now running without problems with my settings:
Maybe after changing the settings of Kooldock, one has to
deactivate it again.

Thanks for Your good comment!
The System-monitor, You're asking for is
"GKrellM" (http://members.dslextreme.com/users/billw/gkrellm/gkrellm.html).
Backgrounds for GKrellM are available under (http://www.muhri.net/gkrellm/).
It works under KDE and Gnome and has
many Plugins.

To install the backgrounds "extract" the downloaded Tar.gz -File
into the background-directory of Kooldock.
( /usr/share/apps/kooldock/backgrounds/ or /opt/kde3/share/apps/kooldock/backgrounds/ )
In Kooldock-Settings choose as background the new background.
To install a new icon in Kooldock, Just edit an application (Right-Click on the Icon)
Click on the Icon-Symbol and You find a dialogue to choose another icon. Choose
one out of the extracted Icon's directory.

Have much fun, ottlux

I had sometimes the same crashes with older versions of kooldock.
The new version 0.4.7 is very stable and works with my personal
settings without problems. When You have installed the newest version
and the problem is not solved, it might be a new function in Kooldock,
as for example KBFX-Support, causes the crashes on Your system.
I'll publish my settings upside, You can overtake them.
If Your Kooldock doesn't appear anymore, You can start it with:

kooldock -o

You come directly in the Settings-Main-Window, and You can correct wrong
settings. Later You can change the settings again, to increase the function,
which causes the problem and we can tell it to the developper of Kooldock.

Thx, ottlux

When I extract the BG_Leopard background and use it in kooldock, I don't get the glass plate shown in screenshot. Also, with Beryl kooldock behvaes very weird. Sometimes I get a black area in the lower part of the screen where kooldock is! Kooldock looks good and I want to use it. Any suggestions? (Just in case, my video card is a NVIDIA (100.11.19 drivers, reqd by xorg 7.3), debian lenny, Xorg 7.3 )

Thank You for the good comment's !

- On my system is the folder for the backgrounds: /opt/kde3/share/apps/kooldock/backgrounds/

- I've tested kooldock with all backgrounds and You're right, there is
a flickering on the right edge with all
backgrounds! Cause the Leopard background is diagonal, You see that flickering more
intensiv. Can You please tell it to the developer of kooldock ?
I myself use Kooldock always with the
Option "Autohide" and there is no flickering and no black areas.

Thanks !
