Description:

This is just a file that loads OOo quickstarter as you load KDE. Uncompress and copy this file into ~/.kde/Autostart. OOo will load in the background without the splash screen appearing and will be ready to go.

Hi! The beta 2 and the next dev version which was 1.9.84 are the last linux versions to have a quickstart functionality. For unknown reasons the "-quickstart" cli flag is for windows only for version > 1.9.84. I have filed a bug/enhancement request to reintroduce this flag for the linux version. The target milstone for this is supposed to be 2.0.1. If you'd like to vote for this, check out the bug report here: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=47835 Cheers Juergen
