It's great someone cares about pdf handling. And good to hear that you want to implement even more features.

Some ideas if you want to enhance your app with some more functions:

pdfk (http://www.pdfhacks.com/pdftk/), a pdf tool with some nice functions

PDFjam (http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/statistics/staff/academic/firth/software/pdfjam/), could provide also some functions

Also, KDE developer Inorog promised tutoring if someone wants to make an interface for manipulating PDFs a la pdftk in case someone needs advice (http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/1631).

Would be cool if your tool would evolve into something even greater!

Very handy application, only, it's a pity that you can't search in the output pdf anymore.

Thanks!
Actually the protected PDFs do not contain the text, just a collection of images of the document pages.
