Hi there

I will suggest you to build KToshiba from source that way you can choose wich features to include, however, if you want synaptics support, you will need to download, compile and install libsynaptics version 0.14.4 which is available fom here:

Hi,

I have installed ktoshiba on a Satellite A80-117 with SuSE 9.2.

When I try to load the module with

dhcppc1:/home/werner # insmod toshiba tosh_fn=0x62

I get

insmod: can't read 'toshiba': No such file or directory

What am I doing wrong?

Google did not help.

Thanks in advance!

Werner

Im running mandrake 10.1 with home built kde3.4b1. Both with ktoshiba .3 and .4 I've had compile problems (although installing and modifying the suse 9.1 rpm has been functional). I don't know that you want any more info at this point, but I'm getting an undeclared errno in ktoshibasmminterface.cpp.

like the applet - help me set it up right, please!

I still get the same compile error. is it possible that the tarball wasn't updated?

Have you considered turning this into a KMilo plugin so that it actually integrates with the rest of KDE?

Yes. I've considered making it a KMilo plug-in and work is in progress since last month.

I wanted this to be a KMilo plug-in since the begining, but I wanted some real world testing first, since only a friend and I are using KToshiba.

If you look at the sources, the Kontrol Center configuration widget already access KMilo.

Keep testing it and send me any bugs, features or whatever you think is needed to improve this program.
