Description:

Blokkal is a KDE blogging client
designed to support multiple protocols and blogging sites. The goal is to provide a uniform way to access the most-commonly-used blogging systems.

Since version 0.0.4 Blokkal is a KDE4 application!

Bokkal currently ships with protocol plugins that provide support for the following protocols:
- LiveJournal
- Blogger/GData
- Blogger 1.0
- MetaWeblog
- MovableType
The latter two are tested with WordPress and should work with other providers as well.

Support for other protocols can be added through plugins.

What about the wordpress support? Does it work for sure?

I use http://orvio.wordpress.com/ to test the MetaWeblog and Movabe Type plugins and they work just fine for me. You need to enable the wordpress date workaround though. If you don't do that all posts will have a date in the 1970s or so.

Hi,

since you are back with your great app, you might be interested in joining efforts with us and help getting at least KBlog in kdepimlibs, but maybe also KBlogger in playground/trunk, in shape. I fully understand that you have written a LiveJournal client and that it is your baby, but it would be *really* great for us to have another member in the kde blogging team. Looking on your source I have to say that you have done great work here and you could really help us to improve the KBlog/KBlogger code and add the LiveJournal gimmicks to our code. On the other side KBlogger already supports many great features, like GData(KBlog), autoconfiguration, preview and richtext editor including preview, multiblog support and media management, so we might port parts of your code/knowledge over to it. I would like to invite you to #kblogger on freenode to discuss cooperation.

Cheers,
duns_s

Hello i'm a kblogger developer. I'm working on KBlogger for KDE4 and on KBlog.
KBlog is a new KDE4 API for blogging. If you want you can work with us to KBlog. For example you can add your LiveJorunal Api...

Is the support of DotClear and Wordpress envisaged in a futur release?

I have not decided yet which protocol is implemented next. But it would either be either MetaWebLog or Blogger/GData.
So support for wordpress is either next or the next after that.
I have difficulties finding englisch documentation for DotClear so i can't say anything about that one.

Hi!

I'm not really sure, but I think that you need the gettext utilities.
