Description:

Qwit-0.10 is the bugfix release. Hopefully, it is a last release in 0.x branch. Those who still use it, please, switch to 1.0 branch: http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/Qwit?content=110840

Qwit is a simple Qt4-based client for Twitter (http://code.google.com/p/qwit/).

This project started with the purpose of studying Qt4 programming. It could be useful, for example, for KDE users, who need a natively looking simple client for their systems.

Latest version features:
- depends on Qt4 only;
- KDE native look;
- http-proxy support;
- userpics caching;
- clickable links in statuses;
- public, replies, custom user timelines, search;
- caching messages between sessions;
- replies, retweets and direct messages support;
- customizable interface;
- twitpic support.

Those who like to walk on the edge can try ng branch - source and binaries are available at http://code.google.com/p/qwit/.

Also, some intermediate builds are available at Qwit's homepage.

Hi
Great application
When hovering on any items, there are no tooltips.
On any changes, the interface doesn't refresh itself

Using kubuntu + KDE 4.3 RC1 with last updates

Arsham

Any plans on adding identi.ca support?

I'll link when we have .debs ready

I'm not much of a "tweeter", but I've been using this program now since version .6, and it really is a nice app. The improved user interface is pretty slick, and the actual program still works flawlessly. No memory leaks or unexpected behavior or crashes. I would reccommend this program to anyone who is really into Twitter: it beats the pants off any other like apps I've used over the past year.

I'm going to review Qwit for Serbian IT magazine "Svet kompjutera" because this is great app! Better than other standalone twitter clients for GNU/Linux.

Do you plan to add DM's?

Great news! :)

If you'll make a review, could you please submit a link to me to put it on Qwit's homepage?

DM's in plan, but now I have no enough time to implement it. Maybe later...
