Filesnake is an easy to use, portable archiving/backup application written in Python 2.6.5 (using Tkinter.) You can backup (up to) six directories at a time to a single tar file, as well as extract previously backed-up archives.

There was a minor bug in version 2.0 that prevented the user from working with directories containing spaces. That is now fixed in version 2.1

I took version 3 down from the Google Code page last night to fix some major bugs, but now it's back up for download (with the bugs fixed, or course)
