Thanks a lot for great project but I'm wondering why you're trying to clone Freemind features while xmind has many advanced features!

I suggest to bring some xmind features instead of Freemind.

There are plenty of features in all mindmap softwares and I'm just at the beginning of mine...I'll look for ideas after implementing the basic featers.

Probed the debian package on ubuntu-natty. The tool doesn't start, and from terminal appears:

bash: /usr/bin/qtmindmap: impossibile eseguire il file binario

I was looking for long time for an easy-to-use mind-map. And this one is very intuitive and fun to use it. I would like to have the "undo" button as well...

would be possible also to have a wider usage of icons?

The 'undo' functionality is the next one on my list, however refactoring many parts for the needed 'command' design pattern will take some time. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi, thanks for the great app. I've managed to build and test the program, but have a little problem: I couldn't save any of my work. I can export as a png file but when I "save as" the program, it seems to save the file but no file is created in the destination directory.

Careless refactor...thank you for your feedback, it is fixed now :)

Thanks for your response ;)

Btw, I want to package this program for my distro, Pardus. Can you version the program and upload these versions to a particular place, instead of putting a download link to the latest git? It makes packagers' work hard when you only provide the latest git snapshots, which frequently changes.

I see that Pardus is gentoo-based. I have put the source, the ebuild (and an irrevelant debian package :) ) here: http://matetelki.com/qtmindmap/ but this qtapps page is updated too. The is only one ebuild, for 0.2, but there will be new ones when there is a new release. If someone want to have a gentoo/debian package from the latest master, he can modify the ebuild or my debian package creator script in qtmindmap/other. Is it ok like this?

Actually not :) Pardus is very far from gentoo. Gentoo was our nest distro to develop our own technologies, like PiSi (package manager) COMAR (configuration manager) ..etc.. Now, we have all our technologies to package programs ;) All I need is just a tagged version of QtMindMap source :) I can checkout a git snapshot and use it as a source too, but I wanted to encourage you to release a version (let's say 0.2.1 :) ) and I wanted to package that specific tarball (=

There are tags in qtmindmap git: 0.1 and 0.2, representing the achieved milestones: https://gitorious.org/qtmindmap/pages/Home#Milestones so after completing the undo and bezier edges functionalities, I'll tag master as 0.3 and so on.

Any clue when 0.3 version is planned to release?
