Description:

Following the steps in these two guides - http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/01/how-to-make-google-earth-look-native-in-ubuntu/ and http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/01/how-to-fix-ugly-fonts-in-google-earth-6-2-on-ubuntu, it\'s possible to get Google Earth to look reasonably native in Linux. I found the steps to be a bit tedious (and figured a lot of people are probably missing out due to fear of messing up their system), so I created a .deb package that automates them.
Let me know if you make a package for another distro that does the same thing and I\'ll happily put a link to it here. :)

On rpm-based distro it can not be done automatically with the deb-package without tarball.

You will be surprised, but Linux is not Ubuntu...

I'm well aware of that, which is why I clearly stated: "Let me know if you make a package for another distro that does the same thing and I\'ll happily put a link to it here."

Where's the source code?

Did you try downloading the .deb and extracting it? Because if you did, you might have found that it contains the source code (the preinst/postrm scripts and the slightly modified googleearth script). ;)
