Description:

KDropbox is an application which offers almost the same features as the official Dropbox Linux application, but works on KDE.

KDropbox comes with .rpm and .deb packages for Mandriva, Fedora, OpenSuse, Debian and Ubuntu (and derivates).

KDropbox requires the official Dropbox daemon to run. Step by step installation instructions for both the official Dropbox daemon as well as KDropbox (and KDropbox download) can be found

This is good, very useful.

A bug to report, the source download from this page doesn't compile for me - using Debian testing. Although all the steps appear to run OK, no executable is installed. But the .deb from your homepage, once I found it, is fine.

Hello, it compiles under Debian, but when I run it it won't work and I get this:


~/Downloads/kdropbox-0.2.0/bin$ ./kdropbox
QSqlDatabase: QSQLITE driver not loaded
QSqlDatabase: available drivers: QMYSQL3 QMYSQL
Error connecting to dropbox.db
QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'DROPBOX' is still in use, all queries will cease to work.

Ummm, it seems you don't have libqt4-sql-sqlite installed on your machine, can you check it?

For some some reason I don't have Dropbox.py, I only have /usr/bin/dropbox , so I needed to change the source a little bit so the File dialog would accept * instead of *.py.

dropbox.py isn't included in the package but is required to query the status and some other operations.

You can follow these instructions to download it and finish the installation:
