This is a script to display the archive of the Darkerradio.com Free Music Charts within Amarok. This is a monthly music charts show where only free (as in CC licensed) music is allowed. Oh, and of course you can also play and download those songs directly.
If you like some songs feel free to vote for them by going to the menu bar: Tools -> Free Music Charts Voting. You can select up to five songs each month.
New shows air every penultimate Monday of the month and should appear in the script promptly.
There also exists a script to integrate the charts into Amarok 1.4 at http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php/Darkerradio+Free+Music+Charts?content=101226

OS: Kubuntu 10.10
Amarok: 2.3.2
Could you please fix it? 'Cause I love this script!

Someone is already working on it, so there is hope a fix will be in Amarok 2.4.0 (to be tagged in about one week). This should also fix the BBC script and maybe others, too.

However I do have some suggestions, that would make it even more awesome:
- Allow to listen to the ogg version of the individual songs
- Allow to copy the ogg version of the individual songs to the local collection
- Amarok seems to screw up the order in which the tracks are added to the playlist whenever you drag a top level item to the playlist (this doesn't happen when you select all songs and drag them to the playlist as a package)
I am not sure whether the last one is a bug in the script or one in Amarok, though...
Anways, thanks again for your work :-)

Sorting: that's an Amarok problem, sorting can hardly be influenced by scripts.
But I'll keep my eyes open for solutions for both issues. :)

However, when I right click on a track and try and copy it to my computer, amarok crashes every single time. track > right click > copy to collection > local collection = reliable crash.
Using amarok 2.0.2 on kubuntu 9.04.

For manual installation just unpack the archive to /usr/share/kde4/share/apps/amarok/scripts/ (including the directory which contains the script files, not only the files itself). But still you're gonna need an up2date Amarok.
