native language and keyboard layout is english
timezone is lisbon

you can launch lxkeymap on system tray and put your keyboard layout
to predefine your keyboard layout permanently (this custom build have to be installed on hard disk first) :
- go to panel settings, panel applets
- add keyboard layout handler
go to keyboard layout handler settings
- disable keep system layouts
- add your layout and remove US layout
now go to lxkeymap and select again your layout
Apply it.
Reboot and make some tests with leafpad
Remove keyboard layout handler applet
Make your live system with systemback
NOTE
IN CASE after several reboots or in live system still remains US layout
do this easy task..
open lxkeymap on system tray and close with top right hotcorner
open again lxkeymap ( and you will see your desired layout already configured)
only you need to do is going to lxkeymap 2x times

NOTE
if you never used Systemback before, make a search about it, using some key words just like:
How to create a partition with gparted
How to install systemback live system to hard disk

if you got some error during systemback installation (sometimes occours if you have some microsoft encryption)
-you need to launch guidus (wipe all device option - slower one)
select your hard disk
caution
this option will format completely your hard disk
after completed
select restore to a standard storage device (fat32)
and repeat systemback installation (shutdown).

i commit a mistake how to make a swap file... this is how to do it :

These ares the steps to create a swap on a file:

Create a large file e.g. with

sudo mkdir -p /var/cache/swap/ # create a directory that holds the swap file
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/cache/swap/myswap bs=1M count=4096 # for 4 GByte

Of course any other method of creating a file of defined size would do.

Announce swap to the system

sudo chmod 0600 /var/cache/swap/myswap # only root should have access
sudo mkswap /var/cache/swap/myswap # format as swap
sudo swapon /var/cache/swap/myswap # announce to system

Insert the following line in /etc/fstab for swap from the next boot:

/var/cache/swap/myswap none swap sw 0 0

IF YOUR LINUX SUFFERS out of memory you can create swap file. Swap file is hard disk partition to be used it as necessary.
per example your computer have 1 GB RAM you should create swap partition with 2GB... this is not RECOMENDED FOR SSD DRIVES.
to create a swap file do this in terminal :
- check disk space and device id
df -h

- replace the zero for device id AND count with the swap size desired space 1024 =1GB 2048 =2GB
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=1M count=1024

- make it read-writable by root only
sudo chmod 600 /swapfile

- format it to swap
sudo mkswap /swapfile

-enable swap file
sudo swapon /swapfile

this only work on the current session (for security reasons - because this could be not the ideal solution for some computers) if you want to be permanent check on web how to add on fstab OR you can create start up command using the terminal like lxterminal -e sudo swapon /swapfile.
if the lxterminal dont work properly you can make a hold to not automaticly close (this is useful for scripts)
like:
lxterminal -e 'bash -c "sudo swapon /swapfile -Syu;bash"'

i apologize not include this easy solution for different layout than US...
make a desktop file with this exec
lxkeymap
and logout. this solves by opening lxkeymap always when you log in the lxde.
