Description:

This is an alternative launch feedback animation for KDE2 and KDE3. It is shown in kicker's task bar after an application was started and until the main window appears. (Normally that's a coloured spinning hourglass.) Installation instructions inside, Public Domain. :-)

Since people keep claiming that the spinning disk does also work with KDE2 (and I failed to break that feature ;-), I declare this now officially a KDE2+3 package. (I'm using KDE3 since the early alpha stages now---too long to remember how KDE2 looked like.)

I don't know whether that's just the case with SuSE 7.3,
but I copied the files to /opt/kde2/share/apps/kicker/pics/ and now it works with my KDE 2.2.2!

I like it :-)

by the way, you don't have to put the pictures in the global KDE dir, and I recommend not to do so. Simply put it into your personal KDE dir: ~/.kde/share/apps/kicker/pics. Everyone can have his own animation. :-)

Huh? That must be a bug then. ;-) Has the launch feedback feature been back-ported to KDE2? I thought that's a KDE3-only thing. Hmmm ...

That feature is present in KDE 2.x since a few releases ago (can't remember when it did appear for the first time)
