Description:

This is the brand new, dedicated, icon page for the popular material-black COLORS Complete-Desktop package.

material-black COLORS is a new GTK, xfwm4, openbox-3, GNOME-Shell, and Cinnamon- Dark Mode Theme with matching Icons and Folders.

The material-black COLORS theme is based on Material Design standards and aims to bring a warm, colorful, and elegant experience to your desktop. Black-on-black-on-black with one additional color just where you need it.

These are the matching icons and folders.
FOR DESKTOP THEME PRESS DEFAULT IMAGE ABOVE.

Both the Suru++ and the Numix icons and folders have been carefully crafted to match the material-black COLORS desktop flavors, but they can surely compliment other desktop themes that sport matching color hues.

Special thanks to the Numix team for their inspiration, expertise and contributions at: https://github.com/numixproject/numix-icon-theme. The Suru-grounded icon set was initially designed and developed by Sam Hewitt - under GPL3. The original Suru icon set and concept was created by Matthieu James - Canonical Design Team. Core developers are Andrea Bonanni (original author) and Gustavo Costa . Devices icons are inspired by La Capitaine created by Keefer Rourke - under GPL3/MIT. Emoji icons are derived from the Twenoji created by Twitter Team - under MIT. Some icons are based on Numix mimetypes icons created by the Numix Team - under GPL3. Devices and places icons and several apps icons are inspired by Papirus icons created by Alexey Varfolomeev - under GPL3. Numberless icons are from Gravit Designer, under GPL3/MIT.

Manual Installation Is Easy:

For themes: 1) Extract the "tar.xz" file into your "~/.themes/" folder - to install for current user only - or into the "/usr/share/themes/" folder - for the theme to be applied globally. 2) Use the GNOME Tweak Tool or an equivalent app to enable it for your desktop.

If installing manually, make sure to install the dependency: "Murrine theme engine" if you do not already have it; and update your GTK+packages if you have not.

For icons: 1) Extract the "tar.xz" file into your "~/.icons/" folder - to install for current user only - or into the "/usr/share/icons/" folder - for the icons and folders to be applied globally. 2) Use the GNOME Tweak Tool or an equivalent app to enable them for your desktop.

Logging out and then logging back in may be necessary on some operating systems to fully implement themes and icons.

Incredible work, congratulations ... I made a donation to motivate you.
I just have a question, how do I apply the theme in the programs that are in the taskbar of xubuntu 18.04
Ex: Chrome, GIMP, VLC?
Thanks

@ ivan0612 ,

Hello, I am on the rtl88-Themes team, and wanted to share a search-link for these sorts of issues - they have some solutions there. It is hard to know why your panel recognizes some icons and not others. The consensus, however, remains to generate a new configuration file. If I am missing something, feel free to send me a message, so I can help - while still freeing up this platform here.

Thanks for the "10" rating, and thanks for using the theme!

@ivan0612 , all of those icons are furnished, hence, they should simply appear automatically in the panel. I have all of those displayed on my box with no issues. You may need to clean out your icon cache. What variant (Suru or Numix) are you using?

@rjungman thanks for the return.
I apologize if I'm not being clear, I'm using the Google translator.
What I'm saying is that for programs like: Chrome, Telegram, GIMP the icon for the Suru theme does not appear when the application is open on the taskbar, only the default application icon appears.
What I'm asking for is a way to force the Suru theme icon in these apps, is there a way?

It's easy, you just need to go to the app's launcher file and manually put in the icon path to your preferred icon. It is common to do when the preferred icon name is not being recognized an element, etc. If installed, globally go to: "/usr/share/icons/(whichever)-Suru" or if installed for just user, go to: (hidden file) "/home/user/.icons/(whichever)-Suru" and copy the icon's path you want to use. Then go to the app launcher - usually in /usr/share/applications ( or if installed for just user (hidden file) "/home/usr/.local/share/applications - and replace whatever appears after "icon=" with the icon's path. Cheers.

Thanks for the answer ...
I use Suru ++.
Yes, there are icons in the package, but they do not appear in the top bar of xubuntu 18.04 when they are open, only the standard program icons (eg chrome, vlc, telegram ...)
Would there be any way to forward print?

I noticed you have never had to correct anything on the Lime-Numix, and I am going back to when I did not have to search out the icons separately when I am looking for an updated version of this theme. Why did you split them up anyway? Oh well keep up the superior effort and thanks as always!
