I see. The reason why I am still interested in the panel version is that I was trying to get a transparent background (so windows could go under nicely with the icons floating)

This is so hard when fancy tasks is added as a plasmoid onto an empty kdepanel. Even if one could find a theme with transparent panel background, one would have to apply that to all kde panels(not just the fancy tasks kdepanel)! - Nov 23 2011
Thanks for your update! Definitely looking forward to it.... more stable and OpenGL... would be awesome! yay!
While the "panel" version of your plasmoid may not be the focus, I am still wondering if there maybe a vertical version of it. Currently, dragging it to the vertical screen edge will create a big mess on the screen haha. The individual panel is still different to plasmoid added to an existing panel.

using fancytasks 1.0.94 from the gentoo repository on KDE 4.6.5. Thanks for the great work. I like the choice of either being a normal plasmoid residing inside my normal task bar, and also have the option of having it as a separate panel!

a little glitch: the centered panel/plasmoid will have all application icons reflow from left edge of the screen to center whenever I open (new icon appearing) or close an application (icon disappearing). It would be great if it could just reflow more elegantly. I also found that the parabolic zooming animation isn't as smooth(ok, I am picky haha). Is it because the thing isn't using OpenGL acceleration or??
I crashed it quite easily with combinations of app grouping, closing etc.

Keep up the great work! once again thanks :-) - Oct 24 2011

I just upgraded to version 1.2.0 on my gentoo machine, and was surprised this application has even put effort into version upgrade!

having a GUI presenting options recommending users with new optimized default! That is user-friendly without scarifying advanced options!

I can't wait when soundKonverter can pick/fetch album art, and automagically embed them to the resulting audio file when a CD is ripped! - Nov 16 2011
Thanks for sharing with us SoundKonverter.

I found it very easy to use to rip CD to FLAC.

Maybe it would involve major effort, but would adding the capability to fetch and embed album cover art to the encoded file be considered? (guess many format do support embedding cover art, mp3, FLAC etc). I reckon it would be a very nice feature to have especially for those who use soundKonverter to rip CDs - Nov 12 2011

Veromix is working nicely in general, except:

after adding the Veromix plasmoid to my desktop, my KDE would not be able to load completely when the machine is fresh booted. It would stuck at the last step of the KDE splash screen.

Checking from a virtual console (Ctrl-Alt-F1), plasma-desktop is consuming 100% CPU.

I need to restart kdm, and the 2nd time login would normally work. (Yes, the 1st time kde login upon system boot would get stuck, and subsequent kde login would normally be fine)

Removing the Veromix plasmoid would stop this behavior. I am not sure how I could get more useful info on debugging the problem.

Thanks for your great work. I found your application when I was searching if there is any applications that could convert my old Gaim logs to Kopete one.

I am wondering if you would consider adding similar ability to the application in the future. I'm sure this would fascinate ppl from converting to Kopete from other IM if they wanna to :) - Aug 01 2007
