Oh and for mouse pointer, if one likes, Constantine by GrynayS goes well with the Steampunk set:

This is a boldly unique theme and I appreciate that a lot, even if it isn't as versatile as many others. Too many are black/gray or mixes of such themes. I love gray, but, y'know. Variety is good.

Any chance of a plamsa them for the Light variant? It could be versatile, working with a lot of nature or woodsy backdrops as well. Or perhaps you'd be interested in doing a "cabin" rustic or woodsy theme? You have a good start with these themes.

There aren't many icons that go well with this theme; the default Oxygen really clashes. Old style Ubuntu (a shiny orange with a lot of browns) and Wood Icons are a better fit with this theme. Users might try those.

For fonts, the suggestion of Century Schoolbook L is ok, but just going Serif instead of Sans-Serif might work too.

Again, thanks to Paladin-MMX for sharing this unique theme. - Jan 25 2014

Probably the best options I know of are: Old Ubuntu (shiny orange with a lot of browns; there is or was a KDE compatible port somewhere), Wood Icons (here: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Wood+Icon+Theme?content=160198 ) or (maybe, haven't tried it) KFaenza with beige folders, Umicons or Buuf. - Jan 25 2014

Thank you, sir! Your amazingly fast fix was successful. It has compiled and installed with no problem. Thank you again for the fine work. - Nov 19 2011
Hello, I've been using oxygen-gtk for several versions and enjoy the superb kde/gtk integration. Thank you for your excellent work.

Previous versions have compiled fine. I'm not aware of any recent change to my system (Mint 10 KDE). This time (1.1.5) it produces errors during compile.

Here is what is said in the terminal:

"Linking CXX executable oxygen-gtk-demo

Well I should probably look into xhost stuff before messing around with that, but I'd rather not. I did a bit of searching and may be mistaken but it's just that it should be kdesu not kdesudo. kdesu brings up the authorization box, then the dialog menu to install/uninstall. Selecting install globally yeilds the same error as reported before when doing the same as normal user: "A message box labeled "Sorry - KDE su" then appears at this point with this exact message:
"Command './install.sh --global' not found"" Or if it "should" be kdesudo, SuSE doesn't have kdesu/kdesudo set up the way the script expects? - Sep 30 2009
Result in terminal:

"kdialog: cannot connect to X server
Installation cancelled." - Sep 30 2009
Hello, because I switched from kubuntu I couldn't get the error message mentioned in my previous post but it was probably a packaging problem.

Anyway I'm using SuSE with KDE 4.3x at this time and missed your very handy utility. Because the SuSE rpm is old and you note only *8.2 should be used with KDE 4x, I tried to install it from the .gz package. install.sh doesn't work. Activating it in terminal as regular user "./install.sh" brings up a dialog asking install or uninstall options. I click install. A message box labeled "Sorry - KDE su" then appears at this point with this exact message:
"Command './install.sh --global' not found"

Do you know how to fix this or provide an up to date rpm for use w/KDE 4x? - Sep 29 2009
Hello, a "problem" you may or may not care to bother with (if you haven't already addressed it and I missed seeing it). Although it might seem redundant I wanted to install soundKonverter in order to use its normalizing functions, but it wouldn't install with audiokonverter present - something about a "conflicting pipe" in a .desktop file for wavpack. This is with Kubuntu Hardy, KDE 3, and the ubuntu deb provided here. I'll look for another normalizing solution and continue to use this great tool.

This is useful and very well done, I've put in a positive vote. - Feb 14 2009
