Why not replace the black color with a Steel Effect (maybe gradient) or a Grey (or gradient) hexagons?...

It was made with Gimp?

In Gimp there is a "steel" gradient (or make one).

I like the Orange tone, but, can you make a Light Grey tone, or a Red Intense tone (maybe another tones too).

I don't hate your wallpaper, but i don't like these colors. You don't need our ideas for yours wallpapers, btw, they are yours wallpapers, yours ideas, your imagination. Take a moment for think what are preparing to draw (or mesh), then, express you with they.
