K, cut me off... What I was saying was, Even tho it's using a familiar gui style, it's taking a step back from Microsoft and there Proprietary licensing scheme.

To trix0r my grandma into thinking shes running windows. Offering a familiar GUI to a basic basic user will present less of a 'struggle' to learn the new software. This icon was made for her and other friends and family members Im trying to convert, Im simply sharing it with the rest.

They could care less about whats going on behind the curtains, they simply want there ebay, email and web. It is most certainly taking a step back Microsoft - Jun 23 2002

I think thats becuase i didn't include the text area image. Sorry about that. I'll update this splash as soon as I can and I'll also work on an updated version aswell that works around the same idea but just... different looking ;)

Im currently working on the hi-res (1600x1200@72) WPs'. Thanks for the Input ;) I wanted to start em at 1600 but at the time the designs were supose to be Splash Login images... but I figure wallpaper is the best starting point.. gives you an overall 'mood' of the interface. As far as the GUI goes, I will do whatever is needed to get it looking just perfect (perfect as in fitting the passions objective which will be determind by any computer user that'd like to help). Icons, Tool bars, widgets, etc.

The mood seems to fit the 'aqua/luna' themes that have been created lately but I can asure you this; the quality and style will be unmatched! :)

Thanks for the quick response! I'm sure the future of KDE would love everyones help. Passions is simply a sub project I think would help KDE and you can jump in at any time. With the project i simply want to create a "standard" in some sort of design and it's quality. I would like to make Passions some sort of THX equvilent standard in GUI design :)
