I've not tested the app on other linux system because i'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS for developing this program so i advise to use it only on 12.04 and ,maybe, on 12.10 ! - Feb 28 2013

Yes and can add tomcat in the configuration but i need more info about what ubuntu version you are using , what tomcat version , is there a script in /etc/init.d/tomcat , or the commands to start, stop or status tomcat!

To add to startup go to panel Startup Applications Preferences , click Add tab then enter the following:
Name:Ubuntu-lua
Command:/home/your username/.Ubuntu-lua/conky.sh
