This is an excellent theme! I love it, excellent work! Deserves to be right up there with Shiki-Colors. - Oct 28 2008

I just installed the Nodoka notification theme and changed the colors to match Nodoka more closely.

Close enough to a fix for me :). - Aug 06 2008
I like the theme but the way panel notifications look leaves something to be desired on Ubuntu.

See the awful black rectangle in the upper right-hand corner in this screenshot: http://img389.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshotau3.png - Jul 26 2008

I'm having the same problem, just encountered it.

I'm looking into it right now. - Dec 29 2007
Fixed. - Dec 20 2007
I threw it together for that screenshot and subsequently deleted it because I wasn't a big fan of it.

Since you're interested, I put together a theme that looks similar to the one in the screenshot:

I'm not seeing any difference when I play with that option. - Aug 20 2007
"same dependency - lib6 or wahtever not installed. no rpoblem compiling from source."

Are you running Gutsy? If so, then maybe I didn't package it properly. If not, then you need the package Chrispy built. Or compiling from source works. - Aug 19 2007
The last Rawhide changelog I read (from August 11) said that it was currently enabled as the default, and I'm pretty certain that they're aiming for default inclusion in F8.

This should also likely make it (unlike the failure that was echo) because they have someone really actively developing it. - Aug 19 2007
"I built engine with --prefix=/usr --enable-animation --enable-macmenu --enable-animationtoleft

a)

How do I enable the Macmenu? or is there more to do?"

To the best of my knowledge, macmenu is currently a GTK+ patch. The last I ever heard of it was here:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=241868

"c)

How do I Change the scrollbarcolor?
colorize_scrollbar = TRUE does not work ..."

That option seems broken in .5.3.1. The readme defines the custom scrollbar color option as:

scrollbar_color = six-digit hex value

by the way. It's also broken.

"d)

How do I change the checkbutton color?"

You can't, afaik. - Aug 18 2007
"URL for a website, wiki, something?"

At the top of the page, over the download count. Where it says Homepage.

It's currently pretty spartan, but it's something. - Aug 18 2007
Douple-post and I didn't make my point clearly. Oops indeed.

What I meant to finish with is:

...repositories should work for satisfying the build dependencies. - Aug 17 2007

The package is for gutsy, as mentioned above.

"If you aren't running Ubuntu 7.10 i386, I've included a link to the source for the particular release I packaged. Latest git checkouts and release can be found on Nodoka's homepage (see the link above)."

Installing from source shouldn't be a problem. If you haven't compiled a gtk engine before, apt-get build-dep for any gtk engine package in the repositories should work. - Aug 17 2007

"I like the way you threat privacy and security. I am trying to reach the same heights, currently I am nowhere near :)"

if a gibberish url will lead you down the path of violated privacy and destroyed security then you have bigger problems to worry about than a snafu on my part. I'm fixing it. - May 19 2007
1. The fonts are not a part of the theme.

2. The preview is compressed somewhat, which I'm betting doesn't help the apparent quality of the fonts. - Mar 18 2007
Can you get someone else to replicate this problem? It completes the download without any hassle on two different machines for me. - Mar 04 2007
Hey, thanks for the offer. I might just take you up on that :). - Feb 18 2007
Yeah, sorry about that. Bandwidth limit sort of snuck up on me. I'm working on finding a different host. - Dec 20 2006
Well, it's still being heavily developed. It's nowhere near done at this point, so it may be a little premature to condemn it. - Dec 11 2006
