if(colormap && gdk_screen_is_composited(screen))
but you should not check if the screen is composited, because you may have a rgba colormap on a screen without a composited window manager currently running. If you start an application and then you run compiz, the application requires restart with your code. - Mar 17 2009

I still hope no .debs or similar will be published for this kind of thing: it is meant to be *testing-only* - Mar 10 2009
It's just like the symbol is not drawn, hovering it will make it reappear again. Could be a bug in the intel driver, the strange thing is that it happens only on *that* button, other symbols never disappeared. - Jan 29 2009

Another small issue (I don't know if that depends on the graphic intel driver) is that sometimes the close button, just the close button, disappears from the window decoration until I hovered it again. - Jan 28 2009

I would suggest to reduce the size of the scrollbars (width) of 1-2 px smaller, same thing for the sliders.
For both sliders and scrollbar's sliders I would suggest to darken a little bit the bright edges (left and top), to have a little bit of contrast as buttons.
In addition, the ability of setting radius for the widgets could be a great thing.
Keep up the great work! - May 26 2008

See what lucazade did for the flat look of toolbars.
Regarding this engine I still don't like it (otherwise I would have accepted your ideas and merged into trunk), but other people may like it, and providing a patch will not oblige them to install the 10th clearlooks fork...
To get xl_cheeselook 2 lines of code are required, plus the ones for the notebook. - Feb 25 2008

For few MINOR changes?
Provide a patch instead, but playing with few lines of code, maintaining 99% of the same code of Clearlooks, creating another name and unsupported themes... yeah.
It's pretty useless. - Feb 25 2008
