luckybackup is a great program which i underestimated at first. i was coming from gnome and searched for a replacement for Grsync. it took some time to realize that i actually found something better!

including the ability to create snapshots sounds awesome! especially if you would have the choice between rsync and rdiff-backup snapshots. -> easy browsable snapshots vs small snapshots.

very much looking forward to the new features.
