Is the Text scaling factor adjusted to a value lesser than 1.0? This gets adjusted at times by distributions. This setting can be found in GNOME Tweak Tool on the Fonts section for local setting. - Jun 12 2012
I'm discovering I'm liking the fonts sizes a little bigger:

sudo sed -i 's/font-size: 9pt;/font-size: 1.05em;/g' /usr/share/themes/Zukitwo-Shell/gnome-shell/gnome-shell.css && \
sudo sed -i 's/font-size: 8pt;/font-size: .935em;/g' /usr/share/themes/Zukitwo-Shell/gnome-shell/gnome-shell.css && \
sudo sed -i 's/font-size: 7.5pt;/font-size: .872em;/g' /usr/share/themes/Zukitwo-Shell/gnome-shell/gnome-shell.css - Jun 11 2012
First I'd like to thank you for the theme, it's very well done. I'd like to ask though if it would be possible to use relative-font sizes. I noticed the gnome-shell theme uses pt sizes (e.g.

stage {
font-family: Ubuntu, Droid Sans, Trebuchet MS, Liberation Sans, sans-serif;
font-size: 9pt; /* The default font size. */

The ability to use relative-font sizes would make the theme more adaptable for other resolutions and DPIs. To convert pt to em proportionally with the current sizes can be done:

sed -i 's/font-size: 9pt;/font-size: 1em;/g' gnome-shell.css && \
sed -i 's/font-size: 8pt;/font-size: .89em;/g' gnome-shell.css && \
sed -i 's/font-size: 7.5pt;/font-size: .83em;/g' gnome-shell.css - Jun 11 2012

Hey this is great! Been looking for a unified look from KDM to Splash. Very much appreciate the work. If there is one thing I could ask is that the KDM theme have users listing too that can be clicked on and selected. Just my two cents :).

Thanks, painkiller10.

Hmm, sure thing. Depends on the browser, you got. If you are doing this in firefox, the vector gets loaded as a page, so you have to do "Save page as". Not sure about other browsers though. - Sep 30 2009
Thank you.

For making it bigger, well the distinctiveness of the arch logo be lost if I did so. The only other option would be to use a shaped box which is definitely possible. - Sep 06 2009

> This is currently not supported, sorry. There's an unsupported trick you can use, however: You can look at the file of the skin you're using, and edit the image referenced under "back_image=" in the "[Background]" group to only be 1px in height. That also makes the title bar 1px in height.

Ah, that is just what I needed. Nice tip. Thank you. - Aug 09 2009
I'd like to be able to click on links in yauake with a single-click, is this possible? This would be a nice feature as I tend to work from yakauke quite a bit.

Also is it possible to disable the titlebar? I never use this and sometimes even accidentally close yakuake when I try to close a tab.

Great program. Glad to be it is being maintained and kept in good shape. - Aug 07 2009

Ok, looked at the manual. The Online Manual is Help > Kbackup-Help (my google-fu got a workout).

From the manual looks like compression is done to every file individually. Generally when I do restores I to a command like:

tart -xvf backup.tgz -C /mnt/harddisk

If I am to uncompress this archive, wouldn't I have to do something like:

tar backup.tar | bzcat *

Hmm, not even sure just how I'd do it. Any recommendations? Gotta think this complicates things a bit.

As for the crash, there was none. Kbackup is running just fine. - Jun 26 2009
Great program, backed up everything no problems. A couple things: I selected "Compress Files" in the profile settings and thought I'd get a compressed archive (for example backup.tgz). Glad everything was compressed but it makes for alot of work to decompress every file. Also, I saved my backup to my backup directory and it included the temp file:

/root/Backup/ (2.6 GiB)
...compressing file /root/Backup/

Thanks for the program, nice work. - Jun 17 2009
Scratch that last part about the bug. Turns out this was because I had run out of room on my backup partition. - Jun 16 2009
Great program. Keeps it simple, blends well into KDE 4.

Got a bug about half way into the backup. Kbackup crashed I guess (because I left and came back and it was no longer there) and didn't complete backup. It left two tar files:

The first is 780MB and the next is 12MB. I looked at both tar's and stopped on this file:

This file is in the second tar and is the only one.

This file was also left (not sure what it is):

and it is 3.9MB. Best backup program I've seen yet. Hope these can be fixed. :)

I noticed a couple things as a new user:

1) Maybe it's my theme but I can't tell from a main directory checkbox if a subdirectory has something in it. I noticed however a blue outline when I ran the program as root.

2) No idea just what "medium" means.

3) I have no idea what the trailing numbers (following the date) in the filename mean.

Thanks for work, appreciate the program. - Jun 16 2009

Think this was a bug on my system been getting some odd problems as of late. Thanks for the great program, attributing to my system, will probably have to reinstall to get rid of all the crazies. :) - Jun 23 2009
This is nice. Multiple-accounts, good implementation. How do I reset this? I got the emailnotify plasmoid installed too and a misconfiguration or something has caused gx-mail and emailnotify to not detect mail that has been deleted. Whenever I get mail on gmail it just gets added on - the deleted email doesn't get detected. I think this has to do with the config because before emailnotify would notice if an email has been delete. Is there a way to delete the config file and try again? - Jun 20 2009

Thanks for the detailed response.

Ok, so luckybackup is a task-centric backup program. One day if you have to backup your music, another day your pictures... Yeah it do well for that. I'm doing a system backup and have a dozen files in /etc in need to backup and a dozen more in var, like to be able to pick files in my home directory... so this would take alot of work, probably better off with tar at the moment. Yeah for generic tasks though I could see how luckybackup be useful. - Jun 16 2009
I like that tasks selection, not foud of the setup though: only allows one source directory and you can't use the source directory for the dest dir. - Jun 16 2009
