"FIX: text placement (more like the original taskbar does it)"

I officially love you now. :-)

Really, I can't think of how to make this plasmoid better, aside (pherhaps) making the expansion of the task dependent on the distance between the cursor and the icon (like the MacOS dock).

Well, anyway... great job! - Nov 19 2009

I'm afraid it's still not fixed... I tried the version from 21st of Sept. and the text positioning is EXACTLY as before. Could it be something related to font rendering? I tried different fonts but with the same results. Maybe I can try with a different distro (I'm on Archlinux currently) - Sep 23 2009

Oops, I didn't notice the icon size control! :-
I think the text position problem can be related to the panel height, it's like there is a fixed offset and thus it is not centered. If I make my panel bigger than the effect is much less noticeable (but I like my panel thin...). - Sep 18 2009

First of all thank you (and the original STasks author) for such a great plasmoid.
One minor hiccup... I think that Text positioning is a bit off. See this screenshot:
On the left there is the standard KDE task manger, on the right there is Smooth Tasks. The text is too low, so that some letters can be cut. The icon is also too large. - Sep 16 2009

First of allthanks for the great app! However, I have a couple of problems with it.
First of all when I create a new profile, it writes the protection in the configuration file as "WPA" or "WEP". Unfortunately those do not work, as it should be "wpa" and "wep" (lowercase). I'm not a programmer, but it should be easy to fix.
Another bug in the profile editor shows when I select the IP manually. Even if I leave the "broadcast" field empty, it gets written in the configuration. Deleting the "broadcast" word from my file makes my connection work.
Also, in netcfg 2.2.0 and later, there is support for ethernet-iproute and wireless-dbus connection methods. They will become the new standard, so it would be a nice choise to have in the editor.
Thank you very much, finally I have a (quite) easy way to manage my connections! - Jul 28 2009
