although i do a lot of advocating for kde and kde apps, and even being a kubuntu ninja and do a lot of packages, i dont develop anything for kde (not yet anyway), so since im not a developer i dont have a planetkde account :( feel free to advertise this review there :) - Mar 19 2011

still some glitches with the new player interface, sometimes the cover shows when paused but goes back to amarok logo when playing (amarok git) and some musics have wrong times, but overall this is a impressive release.
tabs are crashing the app, so i couldnt test that, but this is normal with new code. already a winner, looking forward for more stuff :D
keep up the good work, amazing so far :) - Dec 03 2010

some things i would like to see implemented.
1 - like anyone already asked, ability to control input devices too
2 - ability to control master volume with the mouse scroll by overing it over the systray icon (ala kmix)
3 - ability to turn the master volume above 100% (like gnome applet)
4 - ability to control play/pause/<<>> in amarok and other players (i know this isnt controled by pulse, but it would be a awesome feature) like ubuntu is doing for the volume control of upcoming 10.10.
hope to see some of this implemented, tks again for such a nice plasmoid - Sep 08 2010

Amarok 2.x Scripts by pen2 19 comments
ill test this new version asap.
one other thing, could you please append the version number to the download file. i do packages for (k)ubuntu and its very hard to send them upstream when the original file doesnt have a version number.

Amarok 2.x Scripts by pen2 19 comments
it works very well in playlist mode, but if i change the settings to one track only i get this error:
There was an error in the Intelligent Playlist plugin!
Error: TypeError: Result of expression 'sim.setArtist' [undefined] is not a function.
Error Name: TypeError
Message: Result of expression 'sim.setArtist' [undefined] is not a function.
File: PlaylistSolver.js
Line: 395
besides that it works like a charm :)

Amarok 2.x Scripts by Trail_double 28 comments
now the wishes.
1 - better integration with amarok (like others said, maybe a scripted plasmoid).
2 - ability to use the query to create playlists (for ex, show me all my sting favourite tracks and click on a "add" button to add those tracks to the playlist.
best regards and keep up the good work, first fan ;) - Apr 29 2009
any help appreciated.

now for wishlist:
1 - a reload option in the wally menu, since im behind a proxy at work, sometimes the proxy crashes and wally gets stuck.. i know i could do a next photo, but a reload would be great..
2 - is there any way to activate wallyplugin for kde4 without restarting plasma? i have 4 activities (kinda virtual desktops) and if i add wallyplugin i have to kill plasma AND wally in order for the picture to show up the first time).
3 - the ability to see preview/thumbnail of the next photo would be great.
4 - finally, maybe you could integrate this with the kde4 screen saver since it allows plasmoids also, so i could leave it displaying pictures when im away.
anyway, great app :) a fan already.

Plasma 4 Extensions by jaegerschnitzel 1069 comments
With 0.9.2 the bug i talked earlier (data isnt updated after first update) is gone. ONE DOWN :)
Now, one remains for me.
The plasmoid still doesnt "stick" to the desktop after a restart (login/logout), i still need to add it every time i relog :(
I tried creating a new user with a fresh .kde just in order to test this behaviour.. still the same... any ideas?
Its the only plasmoid that behaves like this, both simple weather and yaWP "stick".
kubuntu 8.10 - kde 4.2

Plasma 4 Extensions by jaegerschnitzel 1069 comments
i select a city, say BRXX0217.
if i clean the plasmoid (AKA no info whatsoever), i get the updated info from the site.
if then, i just wait for new weather info, although the plasmoid conects it never shows me the updated info from the site, just the original first info downloaded. this occurs with every XML you have. Like i said yaWP also has this problem, BUT the simple weather forecast works (with the updates).
Im suspecting that both you and yaWP use the same data engine that is possibly broken :(
Kubuntu 8.10 with KDE 4.2.

But i have 2 problems.
1 - The plasmoid doesnt "stick" :P whenever i restart kde4 , the plasmoid is gone and i have to add it again to the desktop.
2 - this problem also occurs with yaWP, after the initial update from a city, the data stays the same, like its stuck, and although the update occurs, the data remains the same, all day long and a week now. if i go to the site in a browser, same city, i can see the weather info was updated. Like i said, yawp also is showing this behviour.
PLEASE HELP :(
best regards and keep up the good work - Feb 19 2009
if over scrollbar maintain the behaviour it has now.
only one more config (change song/change volume) if over buttons (or cover)
OR
change volume over cover, change tracks over buttons and change position over scrollbar.

1 - I didnt knew amarok devs didnt provide a dbus call for ratings... maybe you could speak to them about that, im using amarok 2.1 svn and they are adding a lot of stuff.
2- GREAT :)
3 - By theme i mean for example the way the cover is shown (could have some other graphics changing the cover to a LP or cd with plastic cover, etc etc), also being able to change the icons would be nice. it depends on what you what thinking of doing with playwolf:)
4 - a new feaure: ability to love/hate last.fm tracks on-the-fly from playwolf (i know amarok does that for the drop down menu over the amarok systray icon) but...
5 - finally, some track info on the click over info for tracks depending on track type would be nice (maybe even connect with last.fm info?)
best regards and keep up the good work. favorite plasmoid for sure :) - Feb 09 2009

Video Apps by RockMan81 102 comments
the only missing feature for me would be a dragon backend besides mplayer, so it could be integrated with kde without the need of a external player/encoder.
best regards, im a fan already :) - Feb 08 2009
1 - ability to change the stars from a songs directly from playwolf (like amaroker did).
2 - ability to choose between changing song position or sound volume when we scroll the mouse over the plasmoid (also ala amaroker).
3 - Finally, themed plasmoid ;)
Anyway, im already a fan of playwolf.
Keep up the good work, you are rockin' :) - Feb 08 2009
