Well, whats your distro? If ubuntu, try to install conky-all instead of conky package. Your conky must be compiled with mlib2 option, if i'm not wrong... - Mar 29 2010
Did you installed the ttf-liberation package? There is something wrong with the fonts in your conky.
I tested here with your options and everything was fine... - Mar 29 2010
bbcweather: "http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/"

you have to make the register first: "http://www.weather.com/services/xmloap.html" and then you will found your country/city code here: http://www.weather.com - Mar 18 2010

For a working photo widget you need to specify a file or directory in conkyPhoto or conkyPhotoRandom script in ~/.conkycolors/bin/ folder.
Greetings - Mar 14 2010
let's see... did work with --photo option?
I had a problem in my archlinux with --photord because of a missing program called "bc". Try to check if imagemagick is installed also. - Mar 11 2010
Sorry, but I really don't know... maybe you can have more luck in this forum: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=281865 - Mar 11 2010

Auf Wiedersehen! - Feb 05 2010
try to find this in your .conkyrc:
Quote:
minimum_size 182 0
maximum_width 182

and than, change this values. that's all :D
If you are interested, you can found more info about conky in this site:
http://conky.linux-hardcore.com/ - Jan 27 2010
thanks,
Edit the .conkyrc in your home, a string like that:

${execi 360 ~/.conkycolors/bin/conkyPhotoRandom}${image /tmp/conkyPhoto.png -s 175x120 -p 4,346}${voffset 114}

Just change the bold values and edit the conkyPhoto/conkyPhotoRandom script with the same values

- Jan 27 2010
sorry,

the scripts in conkycolor are in "~/.conkycolors/bin/". There you will find conkyPhotoRandom script :)
Try to increment the voffset your .conkyrc:
${execi 360 ~/.conkycolors/bin/conkyPhotoRandom}${image /tmp/conkyPhoto.png -s 175x120 -p 4,346}${voffset 114} - Jan 26 2010

Eai :)

u can see all the features with the --help option :D

Anyway, "--hd=default", "--weather=<your_area_cod>" and "--rhythmbox" are the options for what you want... - Jan 14 2010
the default wlan eth and ppp devices are wlan0, eth0 and ppp0.

by the way, u can easily modify/see all conky options by editing the ".conkyrc" file in your home

U can also try a little more help in this forum: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=281865&page=1150 . All the developers are there :)
- Jan 14 2010
hummm... your wlan and eth is right.
What is your conky version? Is there some warnings when you launch conky from terminal?
No, you don't need to install anything else to make conky work with network.
The only thing i can say now is:
Try to install the new conky version... - Jan 13 2010
well,

1 question:
in your home (/home/thx74) is the better place, but you can also change it to whereve you want, but you must change the path in your conkyrc also, and install it as a normal user, not as root...

2 question:
Quote:

./conky-colors --proc=3 --clock=default --calendar --photord --banshee=oldvinyl --hd=mix

Greetings - Jan 13 2010
unfortunately not yet, some changes must be made within the program before, but I plan to do something to finally be able to create a deb and put in a ppa. - Jan 12 2010
you can try this in terminal:
cd ~/Desktop
wget http://www.gnome-look.org/CONTENT/content-files/92328-conky_colors.tar.gz
tar -zxvf 92328-conky_colors.tar.gz
cd conky_colors
make
./conky-colors --lang=pt --hd --network --calendar
make install
conky

You can add more options, they are listed in --help option.
Ex: if your cpu is quad-core and you want the noble color, with hd, network and pidgin monitor and all in portuguese
./conky-colors --theme=gnome-noble --lang=pt --cpu=4 --network --hd=default --pidgin

don't forget the "make install" after choose your options... - Jan 12 2010
Try to check what is your eth or wlan device(eth0 or eth1 or wlan0 or wlan1...), you can check it with "ifconfig" or "route" commands in terminal, and then, change it with the option --eth=(number) or --wlan=(number).
Other user had the same problem and fixed it installing the newer version, maybe this is your case too. - Jan 12 2010
Great Job! :) - Jan 11 2010
I'm glad that you liked it - Jan 11 2010
Inside conkyPhoto script in your ~/.conkycolors/bin folder find this string and change the bold value:
convert -page +2+3 $photo -bordercolor black -border 1 -background none -rotate 0 -background black \( +clone -shadow 50x3+0+0 \) +swap -background none -flatten $photo

ex:
convert -page +2+3 $photo -bordercolor black -border 1 -background none -rotate 5 -background black \( +clone -shadow 50x3+0+0 \) +swap -background none -flatten $photo - Jan 09 2010
Quote:
$./conky-colors --theme=gnome-noble --lang=pt --cpu=2 --network --hd=default --pidgin

Just give another "make install" and everything will work :D
You have to type a "make install" after choose your options.
my options:
Quote:

./conky-colors --clock=modern --calendar=default --photord --lang=pt --proc=3 --banshee=vinyl --network --bbcweather=3849 --updates --ubuntu --theme=gnome-wine --hd=simple --dark

Greetings - Jan 08 2010
Maybe the output from terminal can show us something wrong. Install a new version maybe solve that as well.
Sorry, but I don't have any other idea :( - Jan 06 2010
Try to check what is your eth or wlan device(eth0 or eth1 or wlan0 or wlan1...), and then, change it with the option --eth=(number) or --wlan=(number) - Jan 03 2010
You just need to specify the source image, the other one is a modification of source that is shown in conky(resized, with border and cropped). the /tmp directory is abirtrary, you can change it to wharever you want, but don't forget to change in your conkyrc after that. - Jan 02 2010
no problem :) - Dec 31 2009
I didn't create all the scripts in conky-colors. These pages are from the creator of those scripts, so, if you have any problem/solution/modification you can ask/say directly to him. - Dec 31 2009
Please, could you be a little more especifique? Because I can change wharever I want in this program... - Dec 31 2009
I forgot, check also the conkyPlayer.template :) - Dec 30 2009
The easier way i think is: download conky-colors and create a template with the option you want, after that, get the conkyCover and see how i use it in conkyrc. - Dec 30 2009
anywhere you want :) - Dec 30 2009
1 - It's the default conky template, /etc/conky, that's why i create conky-colors :D
2 - It's the old path, i forgot to update. Try this ~/.conkycolors/bin/conkyStart - Dec 30 2009
Yeah, this is an very interesting feature and anyone had proposed it yet!
It will be there in the next release ;)
Thanks - Dec 30 2009
Did you setup your conkyPhotoRandom script with your image folder? - Dec 30 2009
hum... check if imagemagick is installed. - Dec 29 2009
hum... I realy don't know, try to restart conky :P

Maybe if you put here the output from terminal i could have some idea... :)
- Dec 29 2009
Some things have changed since v3.19, and if you have already conky-colors it will create two folders, .conky(old) and .conkycolor(new), and create a new one inside your .fonts folder.
But you don't have to uninstall everything to clean it. Just do this in a terminal and you will remove everything about conkycolors.
Quote:

rm -fr ~/.conky
rm -fr ~/.conkycolors
rm -fr ~/.fonts/conkyColors
rm -fr ~/.fonts/conkycolors
rm -fr ~/.conkyrc

You can also remove conky-colors by typing "./conky-colors uninstall", but this will not remove all the things of the older version. Remember this command can only be done in the same directory that have been created when you downloaded and extracted conkycolors. - Dec 26 2009
About the problem with --clock=modern it's already fixed in v3.19 (see 3° screenshot), also, removed the Video Ram clock in nvidia widget. In fact, i put the nvidia widget there but i can't test it because I don't have a nvidia card, I just took some examples over the internet and made my changes on it.
I liked the idea of "make it easier to fix the positioning of the photos and music player cover pics by having a simple equation".
The idea of an user set the position of a widget is good, but, beside of changes in the program it will make the idea above into something VERY hard to do. Maybe in the future I can do that, but for now, i don't have plan... and... users can define the position of a widget by editing theirs conkyrc.
Greetings :) - Dec 26 2009
What options you chose? You can post a screenshot?
It's already has, ex: --proc=3 (u can set the max of 10 processes) - Dec 24 2009
inside .conkyrc with --photord option:
${voffset 4}${font Liberation Sans:style=Bold:size=8}FOTO $stippled_hr${font}
${execi 360 ~/.conkycolors/bin/conkyPhotoRandom}${image /tmp/conkyPhoto.png -s 175x120 -p 4,370}${voffset 114} - Dec 24 2009
Well, the 3° bug is not a really bug, in coky you have to set the image position by yourself, conky doesn't support "dynamic" position.
Edit your .conkyrc in photo widget a string like this:
${image <source> -s widthxheight -p x,y}
Greetings - Dec 22 2009
?.. it's already in, check the fonts folder. The Poky.ttf in this package has some extras. :) - Dec 19 2009
or in terminal:
Quote:

rm -f ~/.conkycolors
rm -f ~/.fonts/conkycolors
rm -f ~/.conkyrc
- Dec 18 2009
make uninstall - Dec 18 2009
here is a little help to compile conky with imlib2: http://conky.linux-hardcore.com/?page_id=1154

Greetings - Dec 18 2009
Well, you have the lib but your conky isn't compiled with it :(, Try an apt-get install conky-all - Dec 17 2009
