thanks.
Its nice to see that you are still listening.

I dont know if a simple
hciconfig hci0 down / up
would be enough. It would be nice if you could leave a message that you are working on it somewhere, either in launchpad, kde-apps or irc (mellhen).

many thanks for your work

Would it be possible to add an entry in the menu to disable the bluetooth adapter?

I hope that this isnt such difficult. But it would be very useful to save battery-life.I already asked for it: See bug 359751 (kdebluetooth) and 312959 (bluez-gnome) on launchpad.
359751 is not a duplicate of 312959!

In bluez-gnome this feature request was implemented in ubuntu karmic.
In kdebluetooth its still missing.
Do you think you will be able to implement it in your final "0.4"?
I think in this case it would maybe ready for Kubuntu karmic release.

I really hope that this isnt that difficult.

thanking you in anticipation

Bluetooth is a core feature!

Nearly every notebook has bluetooth. It should be fully integrated in KDE4. This means not only as an applet, but in Dolphin (files) , Amarok (tracks/albums), Kontact (vcards, tasks, dates), plasma (status, files, desktop-themes, backgrounds, ...) etc.

Besides should networkmanager integrate things like "en/disable bluetooth-adapter" and the device manager in a tab "bluetooth" among to umts, vpn, wireless. Here is also space for the "bluetooth device wizzard" which should be able to configure:
obex (extra send- (beside the dolphin one), browsing- and receive-functionalities), sound (headsets,..), input devices and easy "PAN-Networks".

The extra bluetooth icon is just annoying and uneccessary if bluetooth is integrated in the network-applet/-manager and KDE4-apps.

I would recommend to contact all people of the named projects and sit together to argue which base they need to easy integrate bluetooth in there apps.

Iam getting crazy with the current situation and would be happy to help. Even if it is just to say a big thank you and maybe to drink a beer with you ;=) ....contact me if you need support.

Kind regards him - May 29 2009
Is there any bluetooth integration in Dolphin (KDE4.x)?
I searched for something like "file>rightclick>menu>actions>send file via bluetooth (OBEX).

Whats about my stereo-headset, will this work sometime in the setup? - Mar 26 2009

This should be integrated in Dolphin as view beside icons, details and columns.

Filelight is one of the usefullst features i ever have seen. Please dont waste it. Port it to KDE4 and integrate it into dolphin. This would increase the popularity extremly.

Thankyou!

ati overglock is running now.
But i think rovclock does not send the correct data:

The Output of rovclock:
Radeon overclock 0.6e by Hasw (hasw@hasw.net)

Found ATI card on 07:00, device id: 0x7100
I/O base address: 0xac00
Video BIOS shadow found @ 0xc0000

In all probability the rovclock version 0.6e is NOT compatible with the chipset of the ati x1800xt series.
Maybe the developer of rovclock can release a new version ;)

What did i wrong?

1. copied the rovclock in /usr/bin
him@ubuntu:~/Desktop/ati-overclock$ sudo cp rovclock /usr/bin/

2. make ati-overclock.kmdr launchable
him@ubuntu:~/Desktop/ati-overclock$ chmod +x ati-overclock.kmdr

3. launch ati-overclock.kmdr
him@ubuntu:~/Desktop/ati-overclock$ ./ati-overclock.kmdr
./ati-overclock.kmdr: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `*'
./ati-overclock.kmdr: line 1: `*!DOCTYPE UI** *UI version="3.0" stdsetdef="1"**'

(because of HTML-code:)
* = <
** = >

Once again.
What the hell did i wrong?
thx him :)

I really need something like "magic rotation"(Windows) for KDE. My ATI drivers (in Kubuntu) cant rotate the screen via "graphical-button". In in Windows it was possible. Please forgive my bad englsh!
