Fancy Tasks

Thanks for the fix, only a little problem with the filters is left.

1. When i select 'shortcut only' it works (all running tasks to blind out) but new started tasks are visible again.

2. For tasks (shortcut only not checked): The filter 'only active desktop' works but i have to change the desktop twice to force a refresh of the visible icons.

3. if i uncheck 'draw applet background' i cant check it again due to the box is not 'enabled' (grayed out) after this

Thanks and best regards,
Jörg

Hi,

> This would hide shortcuts or icons for starting applications?

yes, i like to configure one panel for running tasks and one for shortcuts

> Another option is to create kind of gap between tasks and shortcuts.

nice idea but a option with separate instances would be nice too.

A (new?) bug in version 0.2:
i can see all running tasks of all desktops, even if the filter 'Nur Fenster der aktuellen Arbeitsfläche anzeigen' box is checked.

Looks great, thanks for this plasmoid!

Two suggestions:

- a filter like 'show running tasks', i like to put a instance for running tasks an another for shortcuts tu the desktop

- a little arrow (or something like this) on the icons of the 'running-tasks' to easy distinguish from 'shortcuts'

Hi,

very nice, working fine!!

Two little requests:

- a small space between the buttons an the progress bar woud be nice, here with the 'slim glow' theme the buttons touch the progress bar.

- i think it would be handy to skip the songs with the mouse wheel if the mouse pointer not over the progress bar. Over the bar the behavior stay like now.

Thanks

Hi,

only two little ideas

- i've set MINSIZE (for title display) to 50 instead of 75 due to the contentsRect is smaller than 75 if i use my preferred theme (slim-glow)

- add a open destination to the popup menu, see attached patch for details

If you like the change it would be nice to see it in the next version.

Hi,

thanks it works fine, KIO supports ssh via 'fish' and therefore also scp.

Just enter a URL like:
fish://the_host/the_path

If you have set-up the ssh key (authorized_keys) not even ask for a password ;)

One request, I like to put many instances of your applet on my desktop for different hosts, but I can't detect which applet is for which host ;) Can you please add a string to the configuration which is displayed under the icon.

Many thanks, regards

Very nice idea, compiling and staring under 4.2 RC1 works perfect after a little port of CMakeLists.txt, just removed "find_package(Plasma REQUIRED)" and changed "PLASMA_LIBS" to "KDE4_PLASMA_LIBS".

Two questions:
- How I have to set-up the URL and where I specify the FTP password and user?
- Would you like to support scp in a future version?

Hi,

yes, both in the same directory than the files of the other plugins, the right mask looks also good, even a complete KDE restart doesn't help

ups, sorry I have made wrong copy&paste, here it compile like this

// pastButton->setIcon(KIcon("edit-paste.png"));
// copyButton->setIcon(KIcon("edit-copy.png"));
pastButton->setImage("edit-paste.png");
copyButton->setImage("edit-copy.png");

Compile and install works fine but i still can't find the plasmoid in the add dialog ... ?

horchi - Jan 31 2009
Hi,

here the same compile error on KDE 4.2.
It compiles after changing this two lines in ktransloid.cpp:

// pastButton->setMinimumSize(QSize(20,20));
// copyButton->setMinimumSize(QSize(20,20));
pastButton->setImage("edit-paste.png");
copyButton->setImage("edit-copy.png");

But unfortunately it don't appear in the 'add plasmoid' dialog, even after restarting plasma.

Hi,

nice and useful plugin, works fine!
One little issue, when i drop it on the desktop it starts in a very small default size. I added this line to the constructor in quickaccess.cc, this fixes for me:

resize(70, 70);
