Note that with the default css if you press "Ctrl +" the button size is increased with the text it contains. Note too that with the default css the size of buttons can be customized in each web css.
But with your css the height of buttons is fixed, not modificable, not increased when pressing "Ctrl +", nothing.
Please, you could improve it. Just make not so big the default button height, but not make it fixed. - Sep 04 2007
- It asks the user for the folder to the new file. Why? The most common action is to leave the new file in the same directory but audiokonverter forces the users to navigate from his home again.
- A common option could be delete or mantain the "old" file, option which doesn't exist.
- Openning more and more dialog window for each question is not cool, it's a pain in fact.
- Opening a console is not cool at all.
So I suggest the following:
When the user invokes audiokonverter a configuration window appears (always).
This window contains:
- Destination directory browser (BY DEFAULT the current one in which the audio files are).
- Checkbox to delete or leave the "old" files.
- choosen codec own parameters (quality, bitrate and so).
When the user press "ok" the window becomes a new window containing:
- A cool bar progress (maybe possible?)
- Info about already encoded files (if hte users selected more than one).
- A log box (coul be a console kpart?) hidden by default with a button "Show details".
- A common "Cancel" buttom.

It's really great now.
Just a suggestion for usability:
It could be great if the options for "split terminal" appear when clicking with right mouse button on the terminal himself instead of in the tab.
Another wish: possibility of recording and labeling open sessions with their tabs and URL. I suppose it depends on Konsole anyway.
Thanks for all. - May 07 2007
But there is no sense this app to exist as standalone app.
I hope your goal will be to contact KDE developes to do a real integration in the "shutdown" dialog. - Apr 19 2007
It's not enoguht.
And it's not very cool that the aspect and colors of an app (a X exported app) is very different of the apps in the working computer. - Feb 07 2007
Please, move the "Type" of your proposal to "Karamba".
Thanks. - Dec 27 2006
The KickOff menu is a great idea in terms of usability.
And you are just a big TROLL. - Nov 27 2006
I see the four tabs in the left sidebar and wonder why they are so small and why just the selected tab shows its label.
There is enought space to show the descriptive label of each tab, making them more intuitible, since the icons are not too much descriptive (it's difficult).
There is another issue related to the actual left tabs: Changing between them is difficult because their height changes everytime the user clicks in each one and the text label appears.
So IMHO all the tabs should show the label, even if they are not selected, making them more intuitible and easier/bigger to click into them. All would be advatages.
PD: Note how Amarok uses the left tabs: the text always visible and the height adaptable to the window size.
Just it, thanks again for Kaffeine ;) - Nov 23 2006
You should fix it ;) - Oct 10 2006

So I decided to improve the idea.
Maybe you are right and I should create a new mockup.
PD: I'd like to know all your opinions, which one is better? - May 08 2006
Have you considered improving the speed by using icons cache?
Good job! - Sep 07 2006
this is the new scrollbar. can't beat this can you?
IMHO this screenshot looks mubh better with the scroll buttons in a more comfortable place.
Good job and I'm sorry because my bad comment. My intention wasn't to offend you. - Jul 24 2006
If KBFX is a good project let's go, but what about KDE4, Plasma and that? will be there place for KBFX in KDE4? should KBFX be the emnu in KDE4?
I repeat that I'm sorry for my comment. The last days I only see more and more KBFX themes in KDE-Look, no more and I had some doubs.
Regards and good luck with the project. - Jul 24 2006
I think KBFX is a bad designed menu. Note that the scrool down button is... in the top corner of the menu! how is it possible? it's the worst concept about usability I've ever seen.
Sincerely I hope the menu in KDE4 will be completely different of the actual Kmenu and KBFX. - Jul 23 2006
Please, the people in USA say "soccer" to distinguish "the american futbol" and the "rest of world futbol", but you are from Argentina, so... it's ridiculous. - Jun 18 2006
The problem is exactly how Kword looks by default, don't you think? - Jun 08 2006
Yesterday I was using Kword and it costed me a lot to change the font size because there is not an icon or field for that in the toolbar and I must go to the menu or right click. - Jun 07 2006
- When I put the mouse over the arroy to login, the arrow becomes a black square.
- Clicking in "administration" does nothing.
I use Debian Sid. - May 22 2006
I mean: could be possible to integrate your app in the future Control Center? or better, could it appear in any way in system:/media when the user is exploring the devices?
I can imagine a Konquerro in system:/media with icons showing the free space (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=34629) and near an option called "free space" tthat open your app. - May 10 2006

I install amaroK and want it to be the default app fot ALL audio mime-types.
Now I must modify the preferences of ALL the audio mime-types, that it's really annoying.
Couldn't be an easy way to change the preferences of all the audio types in the same time? and the same with images and video.
I know that this is a different sugestion, but because people like your mockup it could be the moment to design a better and easier method.
What do you think about it? do you think it's feasible?
And of course congratulatiosn again for your good proposal. - Apr 27 2006
"The kde includes were NOT found"
Can anyone tell me which deb package is needed for this? I'm using Debian Sid.
Thanks a lot. - Mar 26 2006
I mean, if I look for a document of mine containing "lalala" text I'd like to open Konqueror, write "lalala" in the search bar in "Local browse" mode, and then all the results appear in the Konqueror window (like Google results).
Maybe I find many documents containing "lalala" so I'd like to open all of them in tabs with "Ctrl+Enter", is it possible in your KBeagleBar?
In fact, in your design the width is very small so it's not possible to show many information in each result. Imagine the Google results in a 50px width column.
So, your proposal maybe very useful, but I'd prefer a integrated Beagle in Konqueror search bar. Or maybe both ideas could exists at time and each one chooses the best for him.
Anyway good job, of course. ;) - Mar 08 2006
