Are you sure this is GPL artwork?? If it was taken from the movie, wouldn't it still be covered by the copyright of the movie maker? - Jun 03 2003

Is there a chance you could email the background you have in the third screenshot? - Apr 09 2003

I'm a semi-newbie installing this on a RedHat 8 machine. It ran .configure just fine, but during the make process, it stopped with the following error:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lpng
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Can anyone give me a hand? If you need more info, I can certainly get it for you. - Dec 20 2002

Maybe the webmaster can create a new category for PG-13 or R-rated wallpapers. How does that sound? That way, when you open up the category, you know exactly what you are getting into.

With this suggestion I'm not advocating any position for or against them, other than we should find a way to finally shut up about it. - Dec 11 2002

Newbie question, but was this created with Gimp? I always hear about Gimp, but I haven't used it yet. I figure making a wallpaper would be a good thing to start with. Were any special plugins or whatever needed for this? - Dec 11 2002

Thanks for the website. I was just about to ask if anyone know of a website where that was the base subject matter.

And I might as well weigh in on the subject...
As long as it is original artwork, and it was intended for use with KDE, it should be allowed. I'd be offended if someone posted a swastika (sp?), or a KKK theme, but they would still have the right to post as long as the webmaster approves. After all, this is the Webmaster's site. We're just using it. - Dec 09 2002
