Ever since updating to Amarok 2.3 I can't load the script manager anymore, and there are a few comments here along the same.. I was hoping UltimateLyrics 2.x might have fixed this but it hasn't.

Is there any information to gather to help you fix this problem? It does not happen if Ultimate Lyrics is moved from the scripts directory. - Apr 10 2010

Same here, I had to move the script entirely out of ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/scripts or I couldn't do anything with the scripts manager...

Fedora 11, 64 bit, up to date with KDE 4.4.0 and QT 4.6.2, but running XFCE as DE. - Feb 28 2010

The script creates the file, it's up to other programs to consume it. The reason I created it was that I had several programs which did consume that file.

As for why your Amarok isn't working, honestly I don't know. Amarok 2.2.2 here. - Jan 28 2010

I have downloaded the script on a test machine with no Amarok or script installed before, just to make sure I wasn't using the wrong script etc.. All is working for me.

Sorry everyone, I'm a dufus. I apparently didn't restart the script for my final regression, I removed a variable I was using for debugging and didn't remove the output line for it. Fixed, please update. - Jan 14 2010

You did lead me to the place with all of the garbage though, I didn't realize they were stored in the mysql database. Quick delete from where like %lyricwiki% hopefully takes care of it. - Dec 29 2009

Seems every time I see Lyrics from lyricwiki there's always a bunch of XML garbage in it and I have to manually reload the lyrics.

Is there a way to fix this, or entirely DISABLE lyricwiki? I actually removed it from the file and moved the javascript from the scripts folder and it still downloads lyrics + XML garbage all of the time.

Ultimate Lyrics is great and works really well but half of the time I have to manually refresh to get sane lyric text. - Dec 29 2009

I did a bit of tweaking to make it look a little nicer, although I'm NO web designer by any means.. Made the buttons smaller, album cover larger and below the metadata, removed the forced scrollbars from the playlist, etc.. If you want a screenshot or the minor changes I made let me know. I just tweaked static/default/index.html mainly.

The position bar really needs to show time in M:S not ms, and I haven't seen disabling any of the autorefreshes actually do anything (such as disable the progress bar). Oh, and if Amarok exits, or isn't yet running, it really just needs to sleep and retry!

Maybe hide all the "refresh" stuff, most users might tweak that then never want to see it again. - Sep 26 2009
