I allready wrote this ;)
open a terminal and add the repo with zypper.

(1) zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/l1zard/openSUSE_12.1/ l1ard

(2) zypper ref

(3) zypper in AwOken

would do this for the latest stable relase 12.1.

You also could use "1 Click Install" here --> http://software.opensuse.org/package/AwOken - May 30 2012
If you need packages for opensuse >= 11.4 you can find them here:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/l1zard/openSUSE_X.y. where X is the major and y is the minor release.

just add it to your repo like this:
zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/l1zard/openSUSE_12.1/ l1ard

and do
zypper ref && zypper in AwOken

as root user. - May 26 2012

after running the configure.sh script i ran the following command:

hi alecive,

sorry for the late response. i was in vacation over weekend on baltic sea.

yeah you are right you need getopts. usaly it works like this:

while getopts "abcd:" opt
do
case $opt in
a) do_something
;;
b) do_something with option b
;;
...
d) do something with option d
#option d needs Argument
esac
done
shift $(($OPTIND - 1))

+OPTARG is the variable holding the argument given by user

OPTIND is the Argument index

you should look this up in man bash or in mendel coopers "Advanced bash scripting guide". It has some good examples.

for the dead links stuff. since this is a lot i will send you a file regarding this list. maybe you could try something like instead of grepping for dead links grepping after $HOME.

but i will publish the dead links lately on the end of this week. :)

greetings from Germany

matthias - Sep 13 2011
i am sorry: but i forgot i am using grep to filter relevant matches like this:

for i in $(find <AwOkenDir> -type l); do ls -L $i || echo "$i is a broken link";done | grep broken

hoped that helped.
please give me feedback - Sep 08 2011
Ok first you have to unpack the zip in an other directory, i think. Or on an other machine where your /home/-directory does not exists. maybe unpack it on a virtual machine or something where you use different names for your home directory. as i mentioned earlier some links are pointing to /home/alecive/somewhat (i think), which might be present on your system but not on mine. ;)

next run the configure script. since i building an rpm i don't use your fancy gui. now in this directory you could use:

for i in $(find <AwOkenDir> -type l); do ls -L $i || echo "$i is a broken link";done

OT: by the way it would be a good idea if you could use the configure script only with options. something like:

./configure -f darkleaf -s suse2 etc. i am glad

to help you out with this if you which too. this would make the life of packagers a lot easier.

sorry it has to be

find . -type l -exec ls -L {} \;

i forgot the ; - Sep 03 2011
just run:

find . -type l -exec ls -L {} \

after extracting the zip file and executing the configure script. i cannot remember them. but this command should bring them to light. - Sep 03 2011
The rpms can be found here:

hi,

i build a package for opensuse >= 11.3. during the build i encountered several dead links. some pointing to /home/somewhat.

i fixed this by running this oneliner:
for i in $(find . -type l); do ls -L $i || rm $i;done

hey nice work so far

but the script doesn't work for me. i am on opensuse 11.2.

its a silly idea to copy the icontheme to /usr/share/icons, because this theme was not installed by a package. this makes it hard to track down security issues later

second where are the older versions of this theme which simply worked for me. - Sep 29 2010

hi in the tar.bz2 file is no source. just a bunch of executable files and some sources for parts needed by the programm but no configure or make file to get this software installed or packaged. - May 24 2011

As i told you before. i am not able to package this for opensuse since you are installing all into /home. This should not be the default behavior. i can change this of course, but it would be really nice if you could change your code that way it doesn’t install into /home.

for binaries valid is /usr/bin/
/usr/local/bin

for datafiles i recommend to change this to /usr/share/conky

you can find packages for opensuse 11.x on in opensuse buildservice:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/l1zard/ - Jun 30 2009
first you have to change your scripts and the package; so it doesnt install in users home directory.

i cannot build the package until this has changed.

at this time i am only knowing howto package rpms for opensuse. for packaging debian you may have to search the web. - Jun 18 2009
hi i woulod like to package your conky-colors for opensuse 11.x.

i tried your script and at it least works but i cannot build rpm packages because the makefile and the install paths are kind of messed up because it installs in users directory.

can you give me an advice how i can change your script, so i can install it maybe in /usr/conky-colors and use it from here.

it would be nice to hear from you.

best regard
