hmm nope, same background on all desktops. I'll try compiling this again and see if that helps :) Kwin is the only thing dealing with the desktops.

This is too slow to be really usable, looks great but everytime I change a desktop the cpu use goes through the roof while it busily redraws all the transparent window decorations.
This is on a P4 2.8 with 1gb of ram. - Aug 09 2006
Congrats, this is much better than the previous versions.
I would still love to see an option for curved corners on the bottom of the windec instead of the current square only arrangement :)

Isn't mkisofs able to handle volume ID's longer than 31 chars? This is only 32 chars :)
Is there a config option in K9copy to allow long volume id's?

I have acpi compiled as modules and I have done the modprobe thermal and I show

root@neopolis:cpuinfo$ lsmod | grep ther
thermal 10632 0
processor 14764 1 thermal

Why would thermal be showing 0 instead of 1? If I use another app like the CLI mbmon which reads ASUS bach stuff to get the info I get my current cpu temp, any ideas why thermal isn't loading properly? So of course the temp Thermal Sources section of the applet is greyed out. Is there another option to pass to this module?

If you're going to release even a beta, just have a link to a tarball instead of your repository :) - Feb 11 2006
would be nice if we could customise exactly how you would want a 'system' update to go, separate to installing a new app.
For example:

mirrorselect -a -s5
emerge sync
emerge -uDvp world (to show the upgrades)
emerge -uDv world
emerge --newuse world
emerge -v depclean
revdep-rebuild -v
and finally

This way I know exactly how Kuroo is updating my system, some of these options are available in the advanced options dialog but I'm not sure that all these steps are being followed.
I really like Kuroo it's what KDE on gentoo needs for portage the configuration options in the settings is great! :)
if I could do all the above it would be replacing the CLI for updating my system all the time :)
