hey, great to see a kde program coming up for gps-tagging. i installed it, got a weird problem though. i can't find how to load logfile and the menu seems broken. the second menu item is called "No text!".

any clues? didn't investigate yet ;-)

we're actually planning to offer both models: a playlist-only and an "xmms" like mode. one tip for now:

in the menu, click on "configure toolbar". there you're able to remove all the buttons you don't want to show up.

ahhh, now i see.

two options:

1. apt-get remove taglib and then install the amarok package. (taglib is included, there)

2. dpkg -i --force-all amarok.deb (replace with filename you downloaded)

both should work, the second method is a bit unclean, since it simple overwrites the taglib package.

are you sure you got debian with kde 3.2? if so, i assume you got orth's or andreas schultz's packages. just go and do: apt-get install taglib

this should work.

otherwise, go to the kde-cvs and compile taglib yourself:

i don't think it's tooo big. that's kind of an advantage of the karamba themes: they are in the background, not disturbing you in any way -> so, i don't care much about the size ;-)

what's needed, what should be done in my eyes. just as comments and a way to start of :-)

- boxes should pop up, like the weather info panels (click on a day) in liquid-weather.

- manage rdf / rss sources via configure menu.

- highlight new, unclicked entries and switch to the according "tab".

- show an excerpt of the blog entry on mouse over. (eventually)

- maybe over-featured, but also cool:
on startup just show a small box, only containing the names of the blogs. if you're going to click on a name, the box pops up, gets bigger and shows the blog entries.

btw: i like the theme :-) decent style. maybe add a light blue below the names and try to leave a bit more space between the frame and the bottom border. - Sep 01 2003

as my pre-writer already mentioned: there are two little "bugs" which i noticed.

one is that the left and right icons dont start "properly". of course, this is a personal definition and no problem, which would keep one from using kroller ;-)

the second thing should really be fixed: sometimes, the icons stay in the zoomed-mode.

did you think about svg (scalable vector graphics) ? this would really look awesome: zooming icons without quality loss.

okay, now it works really great. the only comments left, that i got:

- click on one day and the info panel pops up, then click again and it hides again.
if i'm tryin to press the same day again, nothing wont happen, till i click on another day. this could be sometimes annoying, since the program then feels like not reacting at all.

note: i got the "cycle" workaround enabled!

- is it possible to change the (size of) fonts? somehow, on my notebook the fonts are too big for the panel itself, but i dont want to change my whole system fonts configuration.

svg = scalable vector graphics.

icons designed as vectors. as you can imagine, vectors can be scaled like 1-2-3 without quality loss.

this looks awesome, _but_ (yeah, there's always a but right?) i got some problems.

the first one: if i click on friday (e.g.) the information panel pops up, suddenly cycling through all days and stopping on the fifth day.

am i too dumb? just tell me ;-)

another problem: i entered my code for augsburg, germany (GMXX0004 from weather.com) and it doesn't seem to reload the data.

python 2.2 and 2.3 installed, py xml-libs

it would be cool to have smooth icon zooming, since it takes about 1.5 secs till the bigger version of the icon pops up. if this is already configurable and i just missed it, please kick me now.
