proc->addArgument(text.utf8());
I can't confirm that this will still work with UTF-8 as locale ^^ - Sep 16 2007
lol. Yeah.

Now go and kill some non-believers and homosexuals to become a better person.
The bible is also misogynic, supports slavery, orders to kill any disobedient children ... and so on.
Oh. And the Lord forgives all. Murderers, rapists, thieves ...
just don't doubt in the holy spirit. That won't be forgiven ^^

It works fine in Xine with the same settings.

since version 2.0 the content tree of most chm files doesn't get displayed correctly anymore.
For example the PHP manual: http://www.php.net/get/php_manual_en.chm/from/a/mirror
In 'Function Reference' everything should be Folders(like 'Array Functions'), but it's displayed as Documents.
Also, copying text from kchmviewer only works by selecting and using the middle mouse button to paste (doesn't appear in klipper). - Mar 06 2006

It won't let you type the path. You don't have autocompletion, which is really useful if you're in a directory with several hundred files and just have to type two characters and choose the right entry from the dropdown, instead of scrolling five minutes until you find the right file.
The FLTK guys did get this one _right_. Have a look at the FL_File_Chooser dialog, it displays a small 'button-bar' above the path, a button for every directory, so you can just click one to go to the level you want ( http://www.fltk.org/doc-1.1/Fl_File_Chooser.jpg ). - Jan 02 2006

I know about screen ... and I can't live without it ...
But since I often work on remote hosts ... and already reattach screen sessions there ... the things will get unmanagable over time if I have to switch between screens in screens (in screens) ...
So multiple tabs would really be a _nice_ thing to have, next to screen ^^ - Sep 29 2005
I've just upgraded to 0.6 and I'm missing a few entries in the context menu ... especially Delete, Add and Properties ...
... why is there now a this annoying Creating list / check status dialog ...
Also since 0.6, after a Blame on a large file kdesvn always freezes ... and does not come back to live =( - Sep 23 2005

And except for those few duplicate configuration options, and a few mislabeled one, I find it quite intuitive ...
Of course there could be something like a 'Leave me alone, I just spent 2 hrs figuring out I have to push this button so all this colorful stuff gets displayed on this TV' checkbox ...
but some ppl actually like KDE *because* of it's numerous, very useful features ... and some of them, including me, would be a *bit* angry if those were taken away from them ...
If somebody want's a desktop with no features ... give him Gnome ... and if he wants it fast also ... give him XFCE ...
and oh yes ...
no features!=usable ... - Jul 19 2005

I absolutely hate teletubby style interfaces, and the first time I saw someones XP desktop I actually found it so ugly I wanted to puke right away ...
On my laptop I couldn't work with some huge spacewasting style anyways, because I'm limited to 1024x768, which is an important argument for small styles.
IMHO KDE 4 should have a unique, slick look ...
One example of a perfect style I like like is enlightenments milk theme (http://enlightenment.org/Enlightenment/Screenshots/DR16_Screenshots_images/E_DR16-3.jpg): slick but beautiful. Another IMHO good example is the minimalistic reinhardt style for KDE ...
Also a small windeco would be nice ... (I currently use System++ because with the Web windeco you can't resize windows by dragging the lower corners, which is sad)
But the Plastik Style is very nice (not so the windeco), and as long as it doesn't get replaced with keramik as the default I wouldn't begin nagging anybody ;) =)
for the icons ... the most important thing to me is that they are uniqely identifiable at small sizes, which Crystal SVG is ... and it does look nice also at small sizes, which doesn't apply to too many icon themes ... so I would say stay with them ...
actually some icons shipped with the crystal svg version in kde 3.4 don't look crystal anymore (compare to the original crystal SVG 1.0 package) ... like the folder icons, the back&forward buttons and a few more .... I would replace them with the original again ... because they looked nicer ...
... I wouldn't care too much about the default look anyway ... you can configure it ^^ ... the only thing I would really care about was if too much performance would be sacrificed for eyecandy ...
sorry if this post doesn't make too much sense ... I'm really sick atm and can't really think clear ^^ maybe I should post again later ^^ - Jun 11 2005

Although flash _could_ be used for useful stuff ... it's only used for stupid (ad) banners and stupid site intros, that are good for nothing but wasting bandwidth, and hogging the cpu. Has anybody besides me noticed how much CPU that dumb flash plugin eats ? With 3-4 tabs each with 1-3 flash animations my box gets quite unresponsive (Celeron 633) ...
Also it's unconvinient to go to the plugins configuration and kill it there when you quickly wan't to browse a site which uses flash for navigation and then turn it off again in the plugin config .... - May 20 2005

maybe you could add a scrollbar to the baskets ?
and the definately coolest thing would be a paste up/down action, so you could just paste items in the order they appear in a basket ?
just some ideas ^^
