huh ... I think you have to find what kind of menu you are using and replace the actual icon with the one you desire in the folder of the menu application inside your home directory

when I used kubuntu I belive to remember it uses the default kmenu,
in this case just use the kde control center to choose a different icon ...

I'm sorry but I have no experience o kubuntu ...
