From time to time widget freezes. It stops/cannot reload and stays in that frozen state until logout/reboot. Plus circle constantly spins end eats cpu (pause does not stop the circle spinning).

This widget causes high cpu usage of plasmashell and whole desktop becomes choppy.
After killing and restarting plasmashell the issue comes back after some time.
Removing this widget and restarting plasmashell fixes the problem (high cpu usage doesn't come back). - Feb 11 2016

As for grub and plymouth themes, these are not part of KDE, so no themes available, and I cannot make them. So don't wait for these from me :) ;) - May 03 2015

Yes you can. Go to System settings>Workspace appearance>Desktop theme>Details tab and choose KDE 5 theme and under translucent background choose Air translucent background (or from other theme which you like). - Sep 02 2014

Plasma theme on the screenshot is Caledonia. You can find it here: http://caledonia.sourceforge.net/get.html

Plasma 5 theme doesn't work well and looks broken on KDE 4.13. So I didn't include it. - Aug 05 2014

Yeah :( The theme is not completed/finished. I cannot do anything about it.
This theme probably could/should fall back to default oxygen theme for missing icons, but I don't know how to do it. I just picked it up in this state from developer of the theme. - Aug 05 2014

Something is wrong with your window decoration (I think).

You can also use oxygen window decoration. Looks good with this qtcurve theme. - Aug 04 2014

It had one mistake (in aurorae instructions) and I corrected it. Note that instructions are for Kubuntu, it may not work for your distro of choice.

Download zipped theme. Extract folder from zip file to ~/.kde/share/apps/desktoptheme
Then go to System settings and choose theme.

Note that .kde folder is hidden. You can find it in home folder with enabled hidden folders. - May 28 2014

This is QtCurve theme (theme changes how windows look).
Installation:
1) Install QtCurve package from your package manager.
2) Download theme from kde-look (usually zipped file with qtcurve theme and color theme/scheme)
3) Go to System Settings > Application Appearance and in Widget style choose QtCurve.
4) Click on "Configure", then "Import" and navigate to *.qtcurve file.
5) Go to System Settings > Application Appearance > Colors, click on "Import scheme" and navigate to *.colors file.
6) Go to System Settings > Workspace appereance and choose QtCurve window decoration.
