But there is one exception:
The white bar above the tabs looks somehow very strange to me. Especially when there ist just one tab (like it happens in Konsole), it is disturbing my eyes ... possibly, others see it the same way.

... to see what kind of software comes up here. If there is anybody who claims that Linux-Users just know and care about their computers, one should just send them to kde-look so they can get a slight idea of what Linux-users do in their spare time :-)

To be honest, I do not really get your problem with that kind of tool.
It is not any more insecure than using konsole and login as root using "su" and afterwards launching vi but far more convenient.
Could you explain a bit why you don't like ist?

I've started using KPovModeler last week and really like it. Being a total newbie to raytracing, I am very impressed about alls the possibilities!
Nevertheless, I am yet searching some source of information telling me how I can - for example - add materials or textures to KPovModeler so I can chose them in the apropriate menus.
I've found some textures on the internet but don't know yet how to use them ... maybe, you can point me to a site with some information. Obviously, you must have managed it somehow yourself ;-)

As far as I see it, this is not the Lord of the Ring but the Witch-King of Angmar ;-)
I do not exactly like the way Peter Jackson visualized the world as it looks when wearing the ring ... though when I read these passeges once more some weeks ago, I realized that possibly this is pretty close to what Tolkien imagined ist to be.
Anyway, I'm not fond of the idea od having the With-King look at me each time I minimize the windows ... possibly there are others things more nice to show ...

Hi bongo!
I just wanted to express that the one and only way to utter serious concerns in this case is by presenting facts (mostly differing from those who are presented in papers and TV) that speak for themleves (and I think there are quite a few).
Living in Germany, I get to know day by day how hard it is - especially for our government - to keep this position we chose (and which I consider to be correct) when not only members of the US-government and presidents of most other european states are calling you a "problem" (and many things that are much worde), but when in your own country, the opposition-partys tells that it is time to throw down this government. :-(
Anyway ... we'll see what happens ... and those who will not have a share in what happens hopefully won't have a share in what results from it.

I always like some words in such pictures ... I'd suggest "Live another day / climb a little higher / find another reason to stay" ... or "You can feel the waves coming on / let them destroy you or carry you on / you're fighting the weight of the world, but no one can save you this time / close your eyes, you can find all you need in your mind" ... or something from WAIT FOR SLEEP, perhaps "God give me the power to take breath from a breeze / and call life from a cold metal frame" ...
