GTK3 Themes by KEIII 85 comments
first of all, thanks for this theme. Together with GrayDay, it is one of the best GNOME3 themes.
I found out a couple of bugs that I would like to report.
The first happens with the GTK2 theme and "modal" dialogs. The top of the window has the wrong color, as one can see from this image:
http://s1162.photobucket.com/albums/q525/valmar73/?action=view¤t=Adwaita-X-light.png
The second happens when you start an application from the terminal (for example, Nautilus). The following error is printed out:
(nautilus:20656): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme parsing error: tweaks.css:5:1: '/*' in comment block
I hope this is useful and those small problems can be fixed. Thank you again

I have a couple of questions. If this is not the right place to ask them, please point me to the right one, I could not find support forums.
Now the questions:
1) Is it possible to have some connections (especially the ones in a group) to autoconnect when PAC is started?
2) For each terminal, I can change the color of the fonts and of the background, but can I change the color scheme of the shell itself (for example, the color used when showing the results of ls)? PAC doesn't seem to pick up on the system ones (On Ubuntu Maverick)!
Thanks again! Great piece of software!

it is funny, after so many months using bespin, I still haven't found a gtk theme that looks good with it.
You can go two ways:
- Find a theme that replicates the look of Bespin
- Find a completely different theme that looks good with it.
I tried several variants of murrine and qtcurve themes. But the big problems is that buttons are always huge compared to bespin, and that looks bad. The closest I got was using Candido. This theme is completely flat, and there is no perspective clash with bespin. But boy, it looks ugly, especially the button. Has anyone a better solution?

Plasma Themes by mageden 14 comments
The only way is to use a non transparent svg image for the panel. However, I have no idea how to turn transparent gradients non-transparent! :)
by having even just the non transparent version of the panel background I can build the opaque theme myself
Thank you

I just would like to report two small bugs
1) Buttons are not visible on inactive windows. However, if the cursor is moved over the title bar of inactive windows, the buttons appear, only to disappear when the cursor moves out of the titlebar
2) if the box show buttons on inactive windows is checked, not only buttons are not shown on inactive windows, but they also disappear from the active window- - Jan 09 2009
Just a quick wish: do you think it would be easy to support a gradient in the window border? I have some kde4 themes where the window background has a gradient, since Qt4 now supports it. Do you think it could be done with crystal too? (Just a wish for the future) - Dec 19 2008

first of all let me reiterate how fabulous this theme looks. Together with Oxygen, it is the only one that gives KDE4 a look that really sets it apart from KDE3. Also, the effects are REALLY great!
I have a couple of questions. These are mainly about configuration. I changed the background of the window decoration to "Window", so I have bright borders. However, the fonts on the titlebar are still white, and cannot be read on a bright background. Is there a way to change the color of the fonts in the titlebar, or is this item taken from the system color scheme? I ask because I see that the buttons are also white in the decoration, and if I set the flag to ignome style colours, this problem is solved. So the white seems to come from Bespin.
I noticed there is a kdm theme in the SVN, which I really like. Any plans on creating also a ksplash screen to go with it?
With my third question, I would like to get input from other Bespin users. Bespin has now some problems with gtk-qt-engine (this is not a criticism!). For example the tabs in Firefox are not displayed properly. So, is anyone using a nice stand-alone GTK theme in conjunction with Bespin? Or do you have any ideas on a GTK theme that might look good side-by-side with Bespin? A theme with sunken buttons should look fine. Any ideas? I am currently going thrugh the themes in Gnome Look and checking the most promising ones.
Thanks to all who can help me and thanks again to Thomas for the development

Are the kwin_bespin entries the window decorations? They still do not appear in the Window Decoration selection list!

Right now I cannot try to recompile because the current HEAD (rev 211) does not compile. I will wait for your update :).
Thanks again. By the way, which colors are you using? I say this because I think bespin doesn't look as good with the default KDE4 colours as in your screenshot.

I ahve some questions: Do you know if this theme is supposed to be working with KDE 4.1 RC1 ? I tried to compile and install it but only the style appears in the settings panel. How can I activate the window decoration? Also, what is the color scheme you used in the sample screenshot?
Thanks in advance for the help! I second the wish expressed by some people that a package is available for this.

Does it support ivtv- driver-based cards (like the European current hauppauge PVR 350)? The card hardware encondes directly in mpeg format, do you think I will be able to use kalva with that?
Thank you again
