I should say, there's no way to use QtCurve themes with GTK3, but the GTK3 Breeze theme matches your Qt color scheme, so you can make it not stand out like a sore thumb at least. - Mar 24 2020
To install, you first need to make sure that you have QtCurve installed for Qt5 (If using Plasma5) (In openSUSE repos it's called qtcurve-qt5), then go into Plasma System Settings > Application Style.

Next, mouse-over the QtCurve theme and click on the edit button (in my icon theme it looks like a piece of paper with a pencil across it). From there, click on the "import" button and select the file.

If you don't have plasma installed, but you do have qt5ct, you can still get it to work, I think. I'm pretty sure you move the .qtcurve file to the folder ~/.config/qtcurve/ and then rename it to stylerc. There is also a file in my ~/.config/qtcurve/ directory called gtk-icons. I'm not really sure what that is and if it's necessary.

The above should also work to install the theme for gtk2 provided that you have qtcurve-gtk2 installed (or whatever that is called in your repos), and you select it with whatever utility you normally use to set gtk2 themes (I normally use Plasma5 system settings).

There is no way to use QtCurve themes with GTK3.

In any case, you will want to select a color scheme as well, using either Plasma5 system settings or qt5ct. The theme doesn't use any custom colors, though, so it should work with whatever color scheme you throw at it. The one in the screenshots is this one: https://www.pling.com/p/1277651/

I don't really know. I understand very little of code beyond just simple scripts. Based on one of the comments in the bug thread it sounded pretty simple. Something about the title rectangle being set to the wrong rectangle.

The issue is there might not be anyone who has the time and knowledge who is actually interested in using emerald pixmap themes. The types of themes this affects are pretty out of style, afaict (even though _I_ really like them). - Mar 30 2019

Plasma theme is Atelier (you can find that here on opendesktop.org). The icon theme is called Nine Icons, I think. I found them here: https://github.com/grassmunk/Platinum9. One thing to note about the icon theme is that it's missing a lot of icons so you'll probably want to change the line in index.theme "Inherits=..." to a newer icon theme. You want to use the folder name to set that. Hope that helps. - Feb 23 2019
